Hi Pawel thank you for the heads up. I will be connecting all my models to Inav to check the gps on 7th April. Y2k was a bit of a fizzer hopefully this will be as well.

This is actually the rollover on 6th/7th April is the 2nd week rollover. GPS Epoch was 5th Jan 1980 and the 1st rollover event was in August 1999. As 1024 weeks is 19.6 years, we are about to go through the 2nd week rollover. This will only affect GPS receivers older than circa 2014/2015 as these will use the old C/A Nav message 10 bit week count. Modern receivers will use the newer CNAV message and this as a 13 bit week number. In reality, most receivers if used for positioning will happily rollover OK even if their NMEA time output roll back to 1999. They will probably have to grab new ephemeris data at the rollover transition.

Ehm, I don't think any device really uses CNAV already. CNAV is still marked pre-operational and uses a different frequency.

Pawel, I was just going to install this Chinese knockoff of an M8N called a V.KEL has no battery back up for calendar. Not sure how that works..... But anyway I was wondering is there no way of testing its parameter with UBLOX proprietary software. What am I going to do with five or six DJI and Neo M6N with compass? Soldering in a replacement Ublox "engine" is very difficult. I know this by hard experience.

Not fun. i have 5 GPS units. I hope they all work after 6th April. Can you please make a list of GPS matching the news specification. Es wäre sehr net, wenn du uns hilfst die richtige zu finden. THX
@FPVUniversity5 жыл бұрын
Such a list is not possible
@iknowlaa5 жыл бұрын
