Romero told Bobby they wanted something like Black Sabbath like music and let him do his thing. I remember reading an interview with Bobby Prince back in the mid 90's where he mentioned it. Have you noticed that each device is specifically used for a particular kind of sound? Each scanner, though identical, has a particularly unique sound and specific, individual, scanners are used for specific parts. The hard drives are tuned and grouped into logical drum sections. Even the floppies are arranged by sound. The result is a true musical instrument that has a range and expressiveness that's. . . .just incredible! This is a technical marvel, a true work of art, and a musical instrument _par excellence_ ! This should be in a museum if Paweł ever decides to decommission it.
