Pawfficer Donut sworn-in as new Troy Police cat

However, cats cannot be trained to do the same work as a police dog because they are very different, much more autonomous and attached to their territory. Some say this is because dogs were domesticated around 100.000 years ago, while cats and humans have a love story that goes about 11.000 years ago. But I think they're really different. Anyway, they both are a blessing to us, humans.

I'm in quarantine, in a county facility, having become a homeless 67 year old lady who survived a month on a ventilator in the ICU. This place where I am being quarantined, hasn't had any food I can eat for three days. They have only offered turkey taco bowl or chicken curry. I know it's free re rent and food and I should be grateful, but I think there is some BS going on with the program and or the county. Today, the kitty ran into a room that's always been locked before. The cat runs out when I opened the door from seeing the nurse. There are bags and bags of clothes in the room. We, who live in this place have nothing and no money. Again, something fishy seems to be going on. I'm an old lady, and I realize lots of young people believe I am senile and dull minded, but the older I get, the more I see . The cat is my relief, as are people like you, who have a care of others. Thank you ❤️

I would consider looking up food resources, Meals on Wheels, churches, maybe a social worker from DSS to look into the conditions there? Maybe 211, which is United way, 24 hr, resource assistance. Call 211, or look it up. Consider DSS (Dept Social Services) for help or reporting neglect. There are special food programs bc of covid. Food stamps, if you don't have and can use it. Reach out for help. You deserve it. I relate to several things you have been through. All I can say is try not to look back at your losses, at what hurts. It just hurts longer. Focus hard on anything good, and what you are grateful for. And try to get help until you are ok. Good luck, and best wishes. Feel free to come back and let me know how it's going. Praying for you P.S. definitely search food pantries or churches that may bring food to you. PSPS definitely contact DSS also about getting social security, Medicaid, Medicare, etc. to improve your situation. And maybe future housing. Be persistent and look everywhere for help that you need.

I think cats realized they could rule the world easily, but quickly determined they werent up for that kind of responsibility. A smart slacker knows you dont lay about on the job and appear lazy...you just break your tools so you look a little incompetent, but get the same result. "Cant work today boss".
