Prices are buggered the UK too mostly because they changed the antique firearm law last year so some guns you could own without a license you cant own now.. they say its to stop the guns getting into the hands of criminals but criminals never use these guns they are nearly always rocking Glock 17s they get from the Police and Army (theres gang members within the police and Army that steal them) or other handguns they've made themselves or illegally imported (handguns are harder to legally obtain in the UK than a .50 cal or AR-15)

120$ for a break action shotgun is nothing to sneeze at. I'd count it just for the utilitarian factor. Between the wide range of ammo available for shotguns and the drop in adapters allowing for smaller cartridges to be fired, youve got a pretty solid survival gun. The fact he got one that folds nearly in half is a backpack bonus. All it needs is a sling, some paracord wrapping and storage in the stock for some small tools and you're good to go.

That particular gun has a hollow stock! I keep a mini cleaning kit and fire starter kit in the stock of my ATI 12 gauge!

Years ago but I found a Russian capture K98 for $125 and a M1898 from WWI also for $125. The M98 had the Imperial Eagles and matching barrel and receiver. Whoever owned it before had unfortunately redone the stock by sanding it down to the bare wood removing any markings on the stock. Basically I left it pretty much as I found it but thought about getting a replacement stock and looking for parts to match the numbers on the barrel and receiver. The K98 was typical Russian arsenal redo. However with a little brass solvent on the barrel removed the bluing inside the barrel the barrel appears new. I also found a sporterized Swiss 1896-11 which is a late 1896 Schmidt Ruben converted to M11 specs which are near K31 specs. While the action appeared clunky a bit when compared to a K31 I didn't notice that when cyling it with actual ammunition. But that rifle was way closer to $200.
