Steve was involved in some controversies concerning forgeries for the company he was working for when he first started on Pawn Stars. He has been accused of some stuff, but he was never charged with any crimes. I have no idea if he has a clue what he is doing. But he is still licensed and still is a recognized expert in his field and happily authenticating for a new company.

Yea my pops owned 2 of the rare cards . you mentioned left all baseball cards in the attic in forest hills ny... oh well also i owned a glove from his store. the moldy old thing was supposedly used by him and put out at a garage sale .im still crying today.The only proof I have is in my brothers attic an artical of the card find.And a pic of me using a moldy old glove somewhere..Pops played semi pro ball in pittsburg.
