When this show came to tv in Britain, I was hooked. It was my favourite show for a while. My son was four years old at the time. I was standing in a queue in a shop and he was getting a bit bored. I was trying to keep my place and keep him still. Eyes were being raised at me as it was, then out of nowhere he says 'Mummy, who's your favourite pawn star?' I nearly died!!! I explained loudly that he meant a tv show about PAWN, not PORN then took his hand and walked out 😂

I am so sad to know Rick lost his Son. Me and my husband went into their pawn shop , we was already visiting friends that moved to their . I met and talk to Rick and the ol man in 2016 they were so beyond nice to us and we let them know we adored their show and bought a beautiful cluster necklace that I'll hold on to always. ❤ had 3 pictures but not with my then husband now he won't give me any my pictures. Although, he was loved by people that he met and did business with. You would never know that he grew up very poor as a a family of 4 boys & 2 girls. They were sharecroppers. That was Hard Work. He also attended school with Anna Mae Bullock. My Father would give her a ride on his horse & carriage. I know 😮😅 right. I remember him bringing home a school desk for me as a child. I always enjoyed the pawn shop shows.. Rick seemed like a straight up, honest guy.. that was, until he did a commercial for a single edge shaver that he claimed, gave him the best shape of his life for shaving his head. that was good enough for me, rick, giving his word, so I bought one at Walmart The next morning when I tried it, I can honestly say, that a month old Gillette Mach 3 shaver blade that I have been using for more than 20 years, blades that are a month old and that’s how long I go on one set of blades, shaves, much better than that brand new one that rick endorsed.. I took it back to Walmart, because it was terrible. The buyer has invested in the item .I only went to one once when I was moving and wanted to sell a couple things before they got lost or stolen. The owner made everything clear to me. She did not try to cheat me or mislead me. She explained how I could get more money by selling the things myself and that she would be making money. She could not have been more honest. Yeah, it was a fraction of what I might have gotten, someday. But it worked out better. Those things would have been stolen by family members. like everything I had. Better her giving me something honestly.
