Let's face it, just because Rebecca valued them at 11k does not mean they will sell for 11k, and at that price, how long is he gonna sit on them before they sell? As an economics professor she should know that markets fluctuate and she even says that they will probably sell for more if the economy improves, but by the same token if the economy gets worse, their value will go down as well. As it stands, even if he had sold them for 11k after buying them for 10k, he would not even be making 1k when you consider taxes etc

@Frodo Baggins Well, contrary to popular belief, Rick is generally not out to just screw people over in droves. There have been instances where sellers come in clearly not knowing what they have and he extends higher, more fair offers to them. It would be a far worse business move to make some extra fast cash than it would be to gain a reputation of treating people fairly.

If the price is right he'll buy anything. Try to find someone who'll buy it off him. He gets what he gives though. Funny guy and some interesting people as his regular customers. 😅😁
