I watch these everyday. And I went to my local pawn shop recently to sell my poke man cards and nothing worked. I asked for an expert and they said no. They didnt negotiate the price or do anything I saw on tv. Actually I paid him $25 in the end.

he offered 2mil for it. i'd say thats a respectable offer, especially considering auction fees. the guy went down to 2.5, if he got 2.5 at an auction, 30% fee would be 750k, leaving him with 1.75mil, less than what rick offered. This must mean he's only willing to sell privately since he didn't take ricks' 2mil, or the negotiation was just for show.

I worked in museums for a while, including a presidential library, and you're only allowed to appraise your own collection for insurance reasons, and typically you use an outside appraiser for that.
