Completely disagree, bro. Without the players, Pax dei is a dead game. I can boot up skyrim anytime and have tons of fun. Skyrim is a single-player rpg experience. I have 2,000 hours in skyrim. I just don't see the comparison, bro. I hope pax dei turns out to be really good but it can't be compared to the goat lol.

@@LatoTheMMOVeteran I think that the main issue with Mortal Online 2 is that the developers are actively developing the game for the hardcore zerg guilds that have been around since MO1. They have 0 regard or interest in getting new and casual players. If youre not part of a zerg guild that knows every single mechanic and exploit you will be killed on sight constantly.

I hope this vision can be realized in Pax Dei, but to do so, it primarily needs an economic system, a well-developed world, and an engaging combat system.

Imagine and could are the keywords here. If it's left for players to create the lore through role-playing, I wouldn't hold my breath. Many Sandbox MMOs have promised this, and it never happens. Players will never be dependable for content. Economy, yes, but that's it. Large guilds control everything and take what they want, leaving scraps for others, just like in the real world.

No shot you are making this comparison.. Pax Dei is a box of sand.. Where in any of the dev interviews you picked up on this which led you to this narrative. This is some real hard copium. I love this game and wish none other than success for this game. Its highly concerning that tomorrows content update is basically a 5.3 upgrade with a world rework no-one was asking for and some better targeting and little smoothness. This to me is highly concerning that this is what was achieved in 5 months. Their whole release plan is out of the window. The economy/markets which was the focus isn't here and all the new building pieces they show cased during preview week are nowhere to be seen. Stop coping and try to use your platform to point out why there are merely 400 people playing on steam with maybe a 1000 via the launcher. But this isn't constructive feedback for the devs or helpful to anyone wanting to see Pax Dei succeed. It feels this was pure clickbait content.

Alright, while I think Demone is sometimes very enthusiastic about Pax, the comments here are unfair both to OP and the game itself. He does highlight the exploration aspect of Skyrim, and customizable characters. Quests and NPC characters with story and such, scripted events aren't and will never be a part of Pax Dei. I played Pax Dei on a RP server, where people play in character. Been in caves, ruins, dungeons etc. I've been in all sorts of those places in Pax Dei and it does indeed hold a sense of wonder and adventure. While the lore itself is not transmited to the players in a direct way, such as books, parchments, etc. there the environments themselves do seem to hold some clues, hints as to what is going on. Not only that but players do develop a specific character, there were known blacksmiths, known leatherworkers. It wasn't until you spoke with other characters that you found out about them. Again, this was on the RP server, and the people I met were mostly in-character. There wasn't any directed over-the-top RP either. Just people playing the game and staying IC. The game does have the foundation to be this ultimate immersive MMORPG. I say that because it already provided that experience for me.

Pax Dei has absolutely nothing to do with Skyrim. It is more a MMO Valheim. And currently it is nothing but a playable UE5 demo with barely any real foundation. Just some basic survival features and good looking assets. Even though I supported the devs with buying a key, I think they will still need years to get actual game systems implemented. The devs should play "Albion Online" and get some ideas how to get life and purpose in a sandbox. And when they want to focus on building/crafting aspects I would recommand the social game "ECO".

@jcleaver4221 күн бұрын
The problem of defining the Lore by the players is that there won't be any consistency; so in that regard it will never reach Elder Scrolls level of lore. Also, there has been several other games that promised player driven economies, building, etc. How many of those have survived, let alone thrived? Pax Dei may lay the foundation, but if the playerbase does not grow substantially it will never be viable. I was excited when I first heard about Pax Dei, and still look at it from time to time; but haven't seen anything yet to get me to play. I think it will only be after all regions are released and it has been thriving for 2 to 3 years will it become worthwhile. I do mean thriving, not survivng. I don't have faith that enough players will stay interested long enough to make it work, sadly.
@LatoTheMMOVeteran20 күн бұрын
I hope you’re wrong. I believe Pax Dei can follow the path of EVE Online, although unfortunately, the developers of Pax Dei are doing a lot to weaken that belief.
