The Alpha test for the game was pretty cool! The combat system needs an overhaul but the building and crafting systems were really deep. The game was so beautiful. Damn near photoreal at times and ran surprisingly well too. The coolest part was being able to combine land claims with other players to build huge structures and entire villages. It took a really long time to build anything significant as a solo player but I think this game is meant to be played with friends and clans. (It is an mmo after all.)

It's not about the game, it's game EARLY ACCESSA ANNOUNCEMENT. If you put 20% effort to read of what you've put into writing this, you'd possibly understand. It's about devs announcing their game, and what is it shaping to be, and what they want it to be. Same way as game trailers aren't made to show you gameplay, there are gameplay videos for that. Bit of education before senseless typing.

I've played the Alpha, the game is fun and has lots of potential, but it was very barebones by that time. Hope it has improved since then, because I am very interested in this game.

Yes I enjoyed it quite a bit. The crafting and building systems are really good!

spent about 80 hours in-game, but the crafting is excruciatingly slow in my opinion. Other than that it's got potential for sure, but it is definitely lacking in many areas - progression is spotty imo. As a builder, it just takes a little too long to get the ball running for it to be a genuine thumbs up though.

@@idnYou are paying $60Aud to be a beta tester for an unfinished game. I don't know how they get enough people, cause you'd have to have DS to think that's a good idea. You'll get an objectively worse experience with a buggy game and a lack of content. A normal person would wait for the full release and skip the year of headaches, when you could be playing something better

You'd genuinely have to suffer from a chromosomal abnormality to pay full price to do quality assurance for them. Imagine paying retail price for an unfinished buggy game, that you're supposed to help fix. It's hilarious. There's 3 tiers for early access. Journeyman which is 60AUD, Artisan 99AUD, and Master for 159AUD.

This model works very well in Star Citizen today. We have an excellent feedback loop with the CIG devs and the ability to suggest changes, features, and report bugs and upvote them to highlight and prioritize. For highly complex games and projects than need ongoing funding, this is a model I fully support.

The subscription model is by far the best option. Pay £9.99 a month, or spend £££ every month on 'convenience' items and P2W bullshit. F2P games are an easy no for me.

@@LemonMan91 what about you pay 30€-60€ only once instead of paying over a year for 120€+ or even more. I mean when you really like the game you pay like over 10 years a lot of money every month. That's not smart at all. And later on it's useless cause they will push the price first yeah maybe 9,99€ but after 1 year maybe 13/15/17 or more. 2 years 20€ etc. The pay to play concept is idiotic. As an MMORPG Player who played the most gaming time for these games. Pay once and bring in-game stuff like dlc, skins etc. It's way better than putting Membership every month. It's like stupid. WOW lost 100k Players around from this ESO changed it 7 years ago. Guild Wars too. Lost ark didn't think about this nonsense. The New World has other problems, Throne and liberty too. But why going back in time for 10 years when this concept already died. It so stupid. Or like what about you can't play when you want cause of work, family, friends, not really that much time to spend. So you spend 10€ every month for around 5-8 hours a Week to play this game. Or maybe less. Or then you wanna play casual but you can't cause your membership is not paid. So many little details. The problem is you have to. You have no choice and this is the Problem I think.

probably ps5 can't run it. graphics card in the ps5 is ancient by now standards. This is the thing that is holding pc users back....all them consoles with old graphics cards and the console is expected to run for 5 or more years....and tweak and tune the shit out of games.

Sony had to go and remove that "8k" sticker that had on the boxes since release because it JUST CANNOT do 8k! So why lie about it...marketing lol. And I agree with you - for us PC gamers the majority of games have to be tuned for console hardware which does not take full advantage of PC hardware like RTX, X3D CPU's, etc. I want all console exclusives to be released on PC on the same day or at least a month later

No it is not. QA Testers are professionals paid to create a plan, create test cases, write scripts, etc and conduct tests, log results, and report on those. Early access is paying for a license to play the game in it's "alpha or beta" state and an invitation to give feedback. You are not required to do anything at all.
