His early music (2000-2001) is called Glitch-hop by the way NOT breakcore etc. Part of the noise/glitchcore scene that included V/VM etc. The sound shifted towards breaks more around "Don't sweat the Technics" (2002) but properly its all just electronica.
@Naferner_Said8 ай бұрын
It’s still breakcore to me. You can be opinionated and wrong at the same time.
@originalxsin7 ай бұрын
@@Naferner_Said the end is definitely breakcore lmao
@extant24206 ай бұрын
First of all this is from 2003, second of all, this is Raggacore. The only thing it has in common with Glitch Hop is having Glitch sounds. If you're being a know it all out of nowhere, you should at least know your shit.

I played this on a dumb radio show I did 17 years ago. Was in A Mood tonight so I decided to pipe videos I liked into my brain after I had to have someone in a FB IDM group remind me how to spell Datach'i because of an album I was looking for (Wearealwayswellthankyou). I know the general operating procedure for YT is "Don't look at the comments." Man, I'm glad I did. All y'all are rad af. It delights me to know that I song I heard back in the 1800s, said "THIS SHIT ROLLS HARD," and played is still absolutely embraced. Stay weird, noise nerds.

I can't believe no one else has figured out this is Kid606's remaking/remodelling The Prodigy - "Voodoo People" into his own track, compare & contrast elements of it....AND then go look at the inner album sleeve artwork for THE ILLNESS, it's a direct copy of the inner sleeve for "Music for the jilted generation."

you know those little "yeah" kinda "whoop" sounding high pitched voice samples the 'doctor and nurse' both keep doing..... does anyone know what that sample is from originally? I've heard it it a lot of music and just wondered if anyone knew the history of it at all. Or if it has a name.

it’s actually one of many drum breaks from this track. the voices are shouted during a drum solo in Lyn Collins - Think (About it), remaining iconic due to the fact it’s sampled a lot like the amen break which is also in the illness! i also loved how joel (the director of the music video) saturated the think break with those doctors in the video. believe there’s a lot of fun put into it!

whoa. Good eye! That looks like MC Shan but I can't tell. It makes more sense that it's Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock because that "woo! yeah! woo! yeah!" sound is used in their song It Takes Two.

@hendrixphish420 - it's like that if you consume psilocin it's not going to do much, when your body starts to metabolize it, it'll take a different metabolic path, breaking down somewhere else, into a different compound. But sure, my bad, I used the wrong term, since the active chemical is psilocin. heh thanks for replying, I haven't listened to this for sometime.

It's a remodelled tribute to Voodoo people by the Prodigy. Listen to the 2 back to back, kid606s version is more like an update using more modern tech than Liam Howlett used.
