I love that it goes to show how much they all rely on each other as a group of 4 - Mortimer would have totally been able to pull that kind of bluff; or, at least, talk his way out of it. But there's so much that they can do that Mortimer would have been unable to - like the run across the bridge or Grindebin being to protect themselves within such a large group of hostiles.

Susan was the standout MVP this episode with those command words - although Dabs trying to emulate her and booking it across the bridge was also excellent. Poor Grinderbin took Sigmar's duty of being the pain magnet this episode 😅.

I think the coolest part of these Side Quest campaigns is that it enriches the world through player input. It’s easy to just leave it to the GM or leave it to the dice to decide what impact the player decisions have had during the main campaign, but I think its a better decision all around to let the players be a part of those changes through gameplay. You get more content for starters, who doesn’t love that? The fans will love it and it’s more revenue opportunities for SW. But from a strictly design perspective, the collaboration makes it feel more three dimensional. This whole thing with Moll Cutpurse could have been decided by a few dice rolls in between campaigns to keep things moving, but stopping to let old and new players interact with the world, not just the main plot, really gives a depth to the lore that you wouldn’t get otherwise. I hope we see more side quests! I have even implemented some side quests to my own games with great results! Love the show, love the art, Omar is just crushing these remasters!

@@miacasual1263 In older rule sets it was reversed spells/abilities like "cause wounds" or "channel negative energy" that would heal undead. For a good cleric, these had to be prepared specifically, if they could be cast at all. I don't know about 5th ed. Edit: I don't have a set of 5e rules. Looking around on search results it seems that it's actually a source of controversy now that it's not "positive/negative" or "necrotic" like older systems. Apparently there's nothing against healing undead as a rule, but the usual healing spells exclude undead in their description. So, like everything, it really comes down to what the DM allows.

I guess I'm a little disappointed in how the gang initially decided to try to cross the bridge, but it did make for a tense episode and I was glad they finally were able to get it together in the second half. :) Can't wait to see what, if anything, Sigmar is going to do about the bridge situation. Will he rally an army after the Catholics, or try to defeat them himself? lol Shout out to the spooky-horror movie background music at the end, really good choice for the cliffhanger.
