No need to go to the Caribbean to find sand when you have that!! Awesome!! Tomatoes looked like they did well! Cucumbers did absolutely nothing this year...lots of flowers, but no fruit. Always a next year to try something different. Take care and enjoy the week ahead.

It was awesome ! Plant your cucumber seeds right in the dirt 10th of May next year you might get your last frost last week in May if they are up before the last frost just make a hotbed lid for that planter, even through an old blanket over them on cool nights you will have cucumbers :) thanks for the comment

Glad your garden did well :) We never know but the cold spring didn't help any, Up here our last frost mid May the odd time end of the month & first in the fall moon change last couple days of Aug or by the the 10th Sept & this year just after picking tomato's -0c -1c some area's is all we got so far :) Last year very late 24th Sept before it killed the garden, Thanks Paul take care

What a beautiful lake there Don, my buddy , great to pay back to the creator we need to give back to and protect those locations so they will be here for future generations. Pancakes looked absolutely delicious cooked to perfection. Awesome breakfast. Tucker sits and drools when I have a breakfast like that when he knows he's getting some lol. Going to check the African Lion after I finish this one. Wow you killed it with the Tomatoes 🍅 and cucumber 🥒. Awesome job even with you putting limited time in being so busy. Garden turned out real nice. Was expecting a plate full of bacon with breakfast, guessing the whip cream made up for it. Nice peaceful lake, plenty of opportunity to think. The best camping is just as you did it, uncomplicated and quiet.

Hey Don! It's nice to go for a bit of time away but it's always nice to go home. I find when I go for a few days , I'm usually ready to go back home come bedtime the first night. Lol

Yes it's hard for some to just be away, just need a good bed & try to block out what still needs done back home or it's hard to enjoy. I have to leave because I can't just say I'm not going do do anything for 4 days we all know that don't work lol ! 17 days on the road last fall & I could of kept going but we were home 4 days the to this lake 3 days we were home 5 days the to the bush tenting for a 8 day moose hunt :) You get home then try to play catch up before the snow flies, I just roll with it :) Thanks for the comment

Yes they done well even with the cold spring we had, I usually only use stove in the greenhouse in the spring at this point I have so much to do I just close the door & hope for the best lol, Good to about -4 without a fire if it looks like it's going to be colder I'll just pick then I'm done it can freeze, Last year made it until Sept 24th, It gets cool in the cabin I started building a little fire in the evening some days if it's getting down to around 5 then I'm toasty :))

Beautiful in July ! My daughter & I are both very busy with gardens & moose hunting starts next week so as the ripen i just wash & freeze then when we have time we may make a few jars :) Might can some for soup, Just a lot on the go this time of year, Thanks for the comment

@@offgridsolarpower All about timing :) I don't blanch in hot water to take skins off They come off so easy when you take them out of the freezer dip in a bowl of warm water 30seconds & they pop right off :) no burning fingers like grandma did for years :)

yes my friend one day at a time ! The fish get bigger when i go up on the big lake then I'm with some family I don't take my little boat out there, There I mean Google Great Slave Lake NWT you will see what I mean !, I've been on disability for a few years because of back injuries but you can't give up on life there is so much to live & enjoy & you don't need a lot of money to do it :) It's all about management! & what you love most :) Thanks for the comment

The finger has stopped weeping but the bone is not all grown in together yet & may not i just soak every 4 -5 days in salt water & cut the dead stuff off so if not very pretty but might show & explain a bit in a few days, I haven't seen a doc for 6 weeks so it's time i guess lol, One day at a time"

@@littlegriffoffgridalberta6837 believe me i understand. i have to pick the things i like most myself. i got heart failure about 10 years ago. by the time i got better it cost all my savings. im with a functional heart now, if i take it slower than i used to, but live on limited retirement from my social security. i could never return to the fast paced straight out way i used to work. the more you can do for yourself the less it costs. ah hell, it keeps you healthy to keep moving anyway.

@@orionoutdoorsandworkshop5617 Yes it can be tough but with a lot of thinking outside the box & how we find ways to take a little trip or longer if we can afford but ya we can't just do what we want we do what we can, Glad the heart is working better for you at least it gives you the ability to still try & enjoy a little life :) When we think we have to remember others have it worse, We buried my brother last month at 62 from cancer, My aces & pains are miner, We just have to keep our chin up & try to enjoy what we have left we don't know if today will be our last, Just try to enjoy what we love Today :) take care my friend

That lake I was at is on the Ft. Smith highway Sandy lake there is no campsite there just a little boondocking spot for my little rig :) There is a bit of a cleared gravel spot about 4kms away where I have seen a couple people parked before
