Another one id like to point out is the Elevator in no mercy, usually the elevator crashes down and you escape through the morgue but sometimes it reaches the roof and you escape by helicopter, this was a thing in payday the heist so im assuming it also happens in payday 2. And also, the random but controllable chance for the helicopter to drop extra loot in shadow raid as opposed to more guards.

in shadow raid if you stand at the heli pad where the guards spawn at around 4 mins until the helicopter is in the map you always get the extra loot

I've played a decent amount of Bomb: Forest just because it's so bad I feel bad for anyone playing it so I join their game to make it easier. But anyways, the one and only time I played it on Death Sentence One Down it was the Nighttime variation, so it almost seemed like the map was even more cursed than usual.

@@levieverhart8640 I just realized how old my comment is lol, but I will let you know anyways. One reason is that Bomb: Forest is always on a slope, so if you jump down the slope, doesn't matter the realistic difference, the game thinks you fell a fatal height from your airtime and you go down, just because you decided to jump once downward at all in the map. Another reason is the openness of the map, you think it'd be good for a sniper, but it's more good for the cops' snipers, and the normal cops too even. There's barely any cover on the whole map except for the very top of the forest and some spots where the train cars can land, so you're basically always getting shot no matter what unless you know all the spawns and work around them, or are lucky and find the few decent cover spots. Another another reason is the Escapes, literally if you pick any escape other than the helicopter, you might as well not even play, especially the boat escape, which carrying very heavy bombs across over 150 or so meters to the boat is just a joke. The helicopter escape spawns on the forest next to the train cars, while the plane escape you have to go to the bottom of the forest and saw trees down to get out, and the boat is at spawn, which as I said, is super far from the train cars. Those are 3 major reasons I can think of to why the map is so bad, there's probably more I missed, but I hope it answers your question anyway, And thank you and everyone else for the comments and likes, didn't think I'd ever see a comment of mine make it so high up on the list.

Brooklyn Bank's can differ every game. You can have either: Open a security door from inside, outside or cut a hole in the floor and open it with C4 from above. Drill the vault or open it via winch and thermal paste. Escape via boat or van. There can also be 2 - 4 sets of deposit boxes available for opening using the laptop, and there can be a keycard available to open one instantly.

This made me realise how genuinely unlucky I was in my early days of payday. My first time playing Go Bank I got both the ransom call and my plane missed the wire twice then crashed! I assumed that was just part of the heist and was pissed because of how long it took to secure the loot! Then I decided to do the art heist and decided to approach from the bathroom, and guess who decided to open the door on me while I was picking it! Diamond Store's lack of an exterior surveillance room door is also possible on Overkill. Had it happen twice in a row earlier today. Also, here's a bunch more uncommon variations: The plane missing the skyhook cage on GO Bank can also happen on Day 2 of Goat Simulator. However, the probability of the plane crashing does not appear to be a possibility. GenSec Armoured Truck outside the jewellery store on Day 1(?) of Reservoir Dogs. This isn't always guaranteed. If approached before entering the store, Bain may comment on it as well. Commissioner Garrett's safe may house a keycard instead of the gilded case, requiring you to go to the other side of the building to the evidence room, and swipe the keycard on the black door inside the evidence room. Had that happen earlier today, too. Ukranian Job has a chance for some static security officers to be on the premesis. One in the back alley, one in one of the back rooms, and one in the front area. They all have their own independent spawn probabilities. If all the stars align to make a truly bad omen, this makes it possible for there to be a staggering 6 security officers generate on a single variation (And that's not even including the randomly generated 2 police officers on the corner of the street, too), and I got exactly that a couple weeks ago on Overkill. Some random pub idiot joined during the stealth portion when I was inside, and set off all the guards in the back alley, tripping the alarm. He then proceeded to accuse me of modding the game, and ragequit the lobby. Also on Ukranian Job, there is a possibility for a steel container to block the windows in the back, on one side. This obstructs vision from any security officers out there, allowing for an easier takedown of the place. On Firestarter Day 2, there is a chance for 2 FBI Agents to be either in the kitchen, the "surveillance" room (It at least looks like one), or the conference room. The one with the assault rifle also has a chance to be alone in the luxury office overlooking the offices with the side entrance. Additionally on Firestarter Day 2, there is a chance for a safe to be inside the aforementioned luxury office. This safe contains a Keycard for the Server Room door. Handy if you used all your ECM Jammers for some reason, don't have any, and/or are going loud. On Framing Frame Day 2, there is a 20% chance for a SWAT Ambush if the alarm was tripped on day 1. However, there is also a 5% chance for a SWAT Ambush on Mayhem+ even if day 1 was completed in stealth. On Big Oil Day 2, there is a very small chance that Alex actually sticks all of the ammo drops without erroneously misplacing any. Can be helpful, if attempting to acquire Doctor Miserable. On Hoxton Breakout Day 1, there is a small chance (Around 25%) that the 'dozer inside the control room of the parking lot will be sitting on a stool and spin around to face the player(s), instead of being battle-ready immediately. On Hoxton Breakout Day 2, there is a small chance that a keycard will be stuck in the soil of a potted plant to the right of the lobby entrance. On First World Bank, there is a chance for there to be police officers and civilians inside the vault. Additionally, there is also a chance for there to be police officers in the office building during the final sprint. On Counterfeit, there is a chance for the printing room to be rigged with C4. The amount of C4 depends on the number of players. Failing to defuse it all in time renders the printer inoperable, forcing an escape. On Big Bank during stealth, there is a chance that Jen won't believe Bain's excuse for the unscheduled timelock activation, and will send police officers to investigate the bank. If the doors are on the top level, one of the officers may station themselves in front of them. And here's a couple rare variations that existed once, but were removed in patches at some point. On Art Gallery (And more specifically, Framing Frame Day 1), it was possible for there to be only 6 paintings minimum that could be acquired. A patch changed it so that 9 will always generate. On the Bomb: Dockyard, the offshore meth lab had a very low chance of appearing (Like 3% or so), thus making the related achievement(s) very hard to acquire, since you won't know if it generated or not until you're onboard the Moretta. A patch made the meth lab always generate, along with enough chemicals in the dockyard to cook two batches of meth. The recipe follows the same process as the one in Hotline Miami. On Transport: Train Heist, it was possible for a 'dozer to appear in one of the vaults. Even during stealth. When the heist was overhauled to be easier to do in stealth (More guards, but bags of shells didn't explode and were also required for the objective, a hard drive being supplied to quietly open the vaults instead of using a thermal drill in stealth, as well as the point of no return timer removed and the number of bags of shells dropped from 40 to 20), the 'dozers were removed as well.

There are some RNG moments that are outright canonical in the lore. For example, on Rats day 2, there’s a chance that the deal with the Cobras would end sour (either the Cobras set up the gang or a police ambush happens). In the FBI files, it says that there was a shootout in day 2, which means the deal going sour is canon.

2:00 my friends and I have got the early ending party start so many times because we mess up a lot 2:30 the blackmailer is not RNG. In the back of the banks parking lot there are two toilets and that’s RNG if someone spawns in there. After you have taken out the guards that go out side just put a body in front of the toilets to guarantee you never get the blackmailer so it’s not RNG

TheKknowley I think confusion online about the spawn comes from it being hidden behind from the player, for the most part, the guy will run out of the toilet once you’ve interacted with things in the bank so your attention is drawn away from him. Something I'm not sure if you mentioned in a previous video, but Ukrainian Job has bizarre randomization starting instantly from Hard. There's a chance for a 5th guard to spawn outside which can screw over stealth potentially, and sometimes either none, one, or both of the safes will be titan safes with the chance getting higher the higher the difficulty.

There is one quite rare thing, i did NoMercy many times and it was always ending with falling off the elevator high speed down to basement. However yesterday we got interesting variant (which maybe was caused by finishing heist quite fast? i don't know) Where 2 clockers jumped inside elevator, knocking down 2 members instantly. Then elevator go up to last Level and we could normally leave, haveing the exit at same place where it was in Last missing on NoMercy map in Left4Dead. i had no idea this part of map is even remaded in pd2, and i find it a very nice touch how you exist in same place as survivors in l4d.

In Border Crossing sometimes the room with the red door might be rigged with C4 and if the player isn't quick enough the room explodes leaving some holes in the walls and screwing up stuff like the meth, keycard, crowbar, etc.

I actually thought some of these events were bugs or something, namely the vault in go bank and the access code for big bank. I love the idea of the getaway having random small chances of showing up closer to you by blowing through a fence or wall, ramming a gate so you can skip a step. Would add some neat variance to have drastic things change in heists. Say a hidden vault or some sort of event to give you a curve ball.

I got the red diamond on console the first time I completed it on death sentence in stealth. Lucky. Also, the game is 7 years old... I keep forgetting that especially since it looks a lot older on console hahaha 4:22 I also got this one, I was lockpicking the door and the guard opened it as I was picking the door, like he heard me or something. One of the more recent Heist’s, Henry’s Rock had probably the best RNG in the games cause it always has 2 of 4 possible locations for the boxes. These are either, a biolab, a server room, an artifact study office or a test chamber with a vault. Some of these are harder than other, but the artifact room is the best cause it also has a double secret that caused a ton of questions around that time.

3:50 I remember a very painful run of GO Bank on loud. Nobody had the saw so we had to manually pick the locks and only got like 2 or 3 money bags before we gave up, the pilot missed the balloon 3 times, then got shot down after that. It was not great and has forever ruined that heist for me.

Another RNG element I’ve noticed is in Firestarter day 2, where there is a low chance that there are two servers in the server room instead of one, which can make stealth even more risky on higher difficulties.

Bonus fun fact: In PAYDAY: The Heist, the red diamond in Diamond Heist has a 75% chance to spawn on OVERKILL or 145+. You can get it by opening the vault in stealth (which in itself is a random chance, likely why the diamond spawns so often), opening the diamond's room, walking up to the diamond, going back to spawn to get the glass cutter, returning to the vault and waiting for the cutter to cut through the glass (which takes 4 minutes), all while maintaining "stealth." (The game shows an assault and the patrollers sound aggressive, but the alarm remains unsounded.) Doing all this will get you a bonus 500k cash and an achievement upon escaping.

The one, possibly rare heist element that apparently didn't make it into Payday 2 was Chavez's gangsters ambushing you in the alley in Panic Room. While not uncommon in Payday 1 when playing on harder difficulties, I never saw this happen in Payday 2 no matter what difficulty was set. This event allowed you to cut to the chase instead of doing the whole drug deal thing.

i remember one, but the thing is it’s purely cosmetic and changes literally nothing. i was playing first world bank loud, and when i walked through the door and started shooting Wolf climbed onto the table in the middle and started shouting that everyone needs to stay calm and follow instructions and they won’t get hurt. i think it MIGHT have dominated all the civilians in the lobby but i’m not sure cause i was mostly just staring at him cause i’ve never seen the animation before

Solo Stealthlord here with 1600+ hours: Out of 40 Diamond Heists on Deathwish/Sentence, I never had the red Diamond. Also never had the Party end. Out of 200+ Go Banks, I had around 5 blackmails and 2 trucks, and one single open Vault. Diamond Store: The Missing Cam Door was added later in an Update. Back in 2014/15 it would spawn every time. Out of 150+ Big Banks I had auto-code at least 10 times. I also found a way to "walk" this Heist, that is an approach that works 100% every time. Haven't played since they added Titan Cams to Big Bank, which was much later. It used to be normal cams even on DS for the longest time. Out of 20 Mercy runs, I never had the file on the first try. Big Oil I can't tell, I never touch those in my Solo runs. In public runs the chance seems to be closer to 70%. I would always be surprised if there was no shock (to them). Had the Cobra deal once. Out of at least 50 heists. ED Plan C I have no idea. I only went there for the no-loot thing and never play that map. Money isn't worth anything in this game so the difference is not noticeable (1 Gold Bag = 7 Money Bags. 1 meth bag is like 15 money bags I think) Moving those is a total waste of time. Heat Street is just a callback to Payday 1. The money would spawn more often and be a quick and easy way to level. You are rewarded while picking up, so restarting right after looting and running there again was commen.
