Mont Saint Michel is such an amazing place. We visited last spring and stayed at the same Aire. We walked the 5k, but it felt more like 10k. We have really enjoyed this series.

Years ago we stopped over night in the car park beside the Abbey. Fantastic to see all the lights on it at night. Believe everything has now change around the Abbey

Well done, we climbed to the top with 3 youngsters under 6, in our 30s and that was painful 😅 lots of tired little legs but it was free and as you showed, the view is worth every painful step, shame the children couldn't see over the wall 😂. The carpark used to be at the Abbey end of the causeway with no parking or bus at the mainland side. It really is beautiful though and I would tell anyone it's definitely worth a visit.

We lived in our motor home full time. We were taking our grandsons over to France for a week in summer holidays. The day we are due to leave I was diagnosed with cancer. We still went, was the last place we visited before returning home. Never to roam again, as we had to sell up to find bricks and mortar.

I can't tell you if I'm well or not, hopefully My Dr will see me tomorrow I have this patch of itchy sometimes a little bit burning spots just below my chest. It's about the size of a 50p. Dr Google says it's shingles. I need to find because my son and grandson are coming to stay overnight on Friday. I don't want them catching anything. Great video ❤❤ xx

The last time i was there i was 14! A long time a go! I remembered at the very top there was a darkened room we visited as a group and inside was a table onto which was projected a view from outside which could be moved. I was mesmerised at the time, i have no idea if similar is still there? Another great video, and a trip down memory lane, we ate chocolate crêpes there. Just wondered if you’ve ever been to St Malo which is further west across the coast from Mt Saint Michele. It was bombed during the war but was rebuilt exactly as it was. Loved it there really pretty but we had a bad experience in one of the restaurants. The people serving were incredibly rude so we walked out ( a first for us…I must add our only experience like this in France) we went to the one serving mussels further up and they were lovely!
