The length of time it takes you to decorate a house does matter! You get some extra behind the scenes points if you take longer than 20 mins per house (and you do need to be actively working that 20 mins, if you're idle for more than a minute it resets), and the more points you earn for that and other things, the faster you unlock new ranks (like Superstar Designer upwards) and new facility upgrades.

funnily enough, i've been doing this in my save! I wanted a convenience store on my island without having to convert my house so I made a second island rep and spent a few days (many days in time travel) exchanging poki for bells with both my rep and the second rep in order to pay off the home loans.

Love this idea! Without the speed run, it shows you can have fun decorating lots of HHP homes and earn Bells. Been playing ACNH for over a year now and recently bought the HHP DLC. I still haven't fully paid my home, haha! Definitely going to save Poki to help pay for my loans so I can expand my home storage later on. I wasn't around often during your streams but I enjoy them! You and your community are so funny :)

The hidden rank for the promotions also depends on the number of plots you have used for home design, because you put almost all of them on the same 1-2 plots it significantly delayed when you would get the raise, typically it would come well before 100 houses, even when also accounting for the time to decorate each house.
