It's a good model for younger sales people with little to no experience. You find out right away if they've got what it takes, without fully discouraging them to quit after only a few weeks if they don't sale anything. I'm sure most experienced sales people would rather just operate on commission only because they probably already have a bank of customers to draw from. Thanks for sharing.

I’m currently facing the challenge of losing my business. I know what needs to be done, but I’m struggling to figure out how to make it happen. We don't do an snail mail, but we have sent a few gift boxes. I didn't do enough or track enough to know if it was effective. Best thing we do for sales is cold drop ins.

Commission based on a minimum salary is excellent, if they really want to put themselves out and make sales they can make much more money. This is the only way to go if the people you employ want to succee

Hi i first discover you, from the lean brothers channel this is something I been interested for a while thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am more in the millwork industry. If you could make a video with your brother around this topic it would be amazing. Does your brother search for his salespeople in a similar way. Does he train his sales people to bid/estimate jobs or does he have a separate department for this. I want to grow my sales and business so far is just myself doing the sales but I am starting to look for help and don’t have any experience when it comes to hiring sales people. It would be of great help if you guys did a video on the lean channel. You guys do an amazing job and are a great inspiration. Thanks for all the knowledge you share.

Can i ask something and u will be able to answer me plz , Iam thinking to open my own business printing shop in canada . Not big , but something for banner and stickers , flyers, brochures, and staff like that , Iam so hesitate if that business is good nowadays specially there are many big printing shop , can u advise , Is that business can be profitable like getting 15k monthly or so ?

Start with sales and outsource everything. Look for products trends and slowly bring production in house.
