Well, that was break for this morning. Coffee and the ladies. My new BFFs. I've done "this" over 50 years but looking at new areas and new eyes is always fun and educational. Thank you. One day I will email you for a close out sale at my place. I'm 75, still going, but it's harder than when I was 50. And I'm by myself. No fun alone....just business. We have exact tastes in picking. Have fun. BTW I will catch up anyday now and be currant with your videos. lol

Earthly Delights, you did it again! You knocked it out of the park! You two absolutely kill it on the smalls! You know what your customers like and want, and you provide that for them! Keep on picking, and I'll catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊

I'm so glad you were able to get them to wiggle some on the prices, because my first impression was that the sales was priced pretty high in general. I love buying & selling smalls, so this sale was certainly full of fun things to look at. And the folding bike was fantastic! Thanks for taking us along!

You guys are my new favorite picking channel. I use too love lavender clothes line until i found out she is a trumper. I bought one of those wicker shelves for a dollar at a yard sale. Gave it to my son when i moved and he sold it for forty bucks.

Thank you for bringing us along! This was fun. The prices were ridiculous. $100 for the photograph?!

Glad it was a good time! I thought $100 for the photo was too much as well. Some of the smalls were overpriced for sure.

Wow at first I was like noooo the prices are too high! The items were high quality and they new what they had. But the lady (head of the estate sale) at the end seemed to have wiggle room on pricing. Love how you guys softened her up!! The bike is AWESOME! Great job ladies!
@earthlydelights2 жыл бұрын
We felt the same and thought we’d be leaving empty handed but then they did soften up and negotiated. Thanks!

There were SO many great things at this estate sale. You both made great choices. Sometimes its worth it to pay up but honestly for what you got, it was a killer deal.

Love your channel😉🥰! I wasn’t sure if you found out or not, but the whimsical nose sculpture is to hold your glasses. It’s nice that the estate sale companies in your area are willing to wheel and deal a bit the first day; that would be an emphatic NO! at our sales here in Sioux Falls, SD. Hope all is going well and on track with your remodel-I would love to have a separate dedicated space for reselling/art studio. I was going to suggest, (maybe I better not, cuz I don’t want you to send me the bill-heehee😉😂), having a utility sink and even a hook-up for a washer and dryer for the vintage clothing/t-shirts. Keep it up-and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress in your new space😉 Best Regards-Ang

Thanks Ang! They were tough on negotiating. Some estate sales here won’t budge on day 1 but glad they worked with us since we had a nice pile:) Good idea on water hookup. That would be SO convenient. Unfortunately the city won’t approve water. Thanks for following along with us. The Reno is very close to complete.

They were selling Ivory? WOW. Can't sell that on eBay. Those little boats with spoons, salt cellars....are not sterling...they are plated. I just sold four. Sterling is always, always marked. Anyway.....great video!

I’m not sure they were ivory but they were definitely bone. We ended up passing on them since we knew nothing about them. And def. Don’t want to mess around with ivory both ethically and also on eBay policy.

Was $100 the default at this place? Are these prices typical for your area? Love seeing the things you guys get to look through…… but every time I heard “ that’s $100” I just shook my head. You didn’t mention ( or I kissed it), the nature of who had this… collector? Felt like a lot was picked up over the years by the owner….
@earthlydelights2 жыл бұрын
I don’t remember everything being 100. Just the photograph. We spent 219 on everything other than the bike. It’s not bins prices but I don’t think we paid too much. Given we made 80 on one item I think they priced most items fairly. Some of the smalls they priced at $5 I thought that was a bit much but overall I just don’t see these prices are high.
@Kristindoesstuff2 жыл бұрын
@@earthlydelights I think you asked prices and several times it was around $100… like the Asian heads in the case, etc. I didn’t mean you paid $100 an item. We hit a Senator’s estate sale (yesterdays video), and the prices were much lower than your sale here… so I was trying to ascertain if overall prices were higher in the northeast than here for estate sales. Very aware most places are more than the bins, but I think the most we’ve ever had to divvy up at an estate sale was $300….. and that was 50 Harley Davidson tees and some other things. But maybe our estate sale companies work better with people. Btw: the bike is cool! We picked up two matching ones last summer at an estate sale for $120 for both. Not the same model, but we picked them up for when we get our Sprinter in the future. Assuming you picked up for travel too.
@earthlydelights2 жыл бұрын
@@Kristindoesstuff I can’t really say whether you or I pay more because we’re buying different things. Some estate sales have lower prices and some have higher ones so hard to say if geography plays a part. The bikes you bought sound different than the one we bought so have no idea there. It doesn’t seem worth the time to discuss who pays more or less to me. I find estate sales all over the place price wise. It depends on what number they have to hit. I’ve gone to two sales run by the same company and one time they are giving things away and the next they want big money. All depends on their clients and what they’re selling.
@Kristindoesstuff2 жыл бұрын
@@earthlydelights I hear you! Mona suggested maybe it’s a regional difference. Here, most resellers know where they can chip a lil off prices here and there in negotiation, you know who will give how much a discount to you as an individual. I think if the various estate companies here ran different prices on the same type of things at different sakes they ran, the buyers would push back… hard. Lol. Your bike is definitely cooler than ours ( we have red…. I like the yellow and silver! 😁). It’s just interesting… I’m a knowledge is power girl, and I’m trying to research how sales run differently in different places. You know… research. Like I’m always saying over on our channel, knowledge is power! We plan on hitting every Goodwill Bins and every state for thrifting over the decade or two. Trying to feel out various places. That’s all. 😉

@@susanflynn-verba776 thank you for saying this! The comment brought up a lot of feelings and questions including the one you “asked”. We’re not a super branded channel nor are we people who dress up when we pick. Wondered if it’s a double standard for men and women or they just want pickers in ball gowns? 🤔 that would actually be pretty funny.
