I don't know if anyone is curious but your spouse can become the mayor. And you can collect like 120 coins from them each day ! Pretty useful. I recommend.

@@laurieb3703 I had my hysband work in my farm and told him to search a job. The next morning the wife of the mayor died (Quentin was already dead) and my husband got the job, surprisingly. Even though their son was still alive but he stayed jobless 🤷🏻‍♀️

Even though their son was still alive, which surprised me. I didn't kill her but I suppose you could do it and the same thing would happen

For apprenticeships, they're only available if the profession has an empty employee slot. The blacksmith already had Rowland and Daniel, so there was no availability for your child to work there too

I loved these videos! Thank you so much Payton. I went out and grabbed this game for myself and really benefitted from watching you first - definitely learned from your videos! I’m close to unlocking all the achievements now. Also, try to get a house upgrade - it might seem unimportant, but there’s more room for artisan good producing machines… and best yet, it comes with a cellar, which is basically an icebox except you don’t even need ice! I put all my expensive things in my cellar so I never have to worry about them rotting if I forget ice like I do with my iceboxes.

pretty sure children can't die from illness in the game, so them getting smallpox is good as long as they don't age up while still sick, as it makes them immune from getting it again. Also, not 100% sure, but I think whether or not your child can apprentice with someone depends on whether they have a free spot. If someone else is already apprenticing with them you might need to... get rid of them first

Is this the wrong time to say that day's event are always rolled at midnight, so saving before that to avoid marriages (or the randomly generated look for kids growing up not being kind to them) is a frigging livesaver (literally)

To be perfectly honest, this game doesn't look/seem all that cozy to me. It seems like an Oregon Trail meets farming/life sim with death and consequences, which is the type of thing I try to escape from within cozy games. It's a gorgeous, uniquely styled, well made and optimally performing game, no doubt, and a very very excellent title addition to the genre. But I can't look at it and think of cozy. There's just too much realism and negative effects and timers, etc. The idea that people around you within the game may or may not even be alive or available to romance is a huge drawback for roleplaying relaxation for me personally. Great game, just not my definition of a cozy game. Props to developers, though, for the excellent work overall.
