It would be so cool have a bunch of fish in there in my backyard. Lake Havasu is right down the street and I rarely use my pool. Dang it, he's got me thinking about it.

Rob Soergel i live in mesa arizona and that would not work. Because it will get way to hot during summer and its not underground with good insulation so they will die from the heat but. They will live if you make a really powerful pump for the pool but that will be way to much work for a crappy pool. Might as well spend the money on a awesome Beautiful pond.

Dolphin, Dorado, mahi-mahi, Coriphena hippos, all the same fish. There are a lot of fun to catch. We get into the chicken dolphin, or peanut dolphin quite a bit. They get in big schools beneath the weed lines offshore. The trick is to leave one in the water and it will hold the school for you. Until a big ling (cobia or lemonfish), sailfish, or shark get to eyeballing them for dinner, and then you will see the school just disperse. When they take off it's time to get some bigger bait in the water. Whatever it is is there to feed on those dolphin. So as soon as we catch one one of us will butterfly a filet real quick to rig on a hook, so that when the school finally breaks up you can throw it down there to whatever it is. A lot of times the Cobia just come up to check things out and will not take your bait. So what you do there is the night before catch you a couple of little hardhead catfish off the docks to take with you. Put them in the live well. Be careful when handling them, because they can put a hurting on you. Take a pair of wire cutters and clip the dorsal fin off, and the tips of the pectoral fins. put it on the hook and toss it out there. Ling, or Cobia, actually eat each other's young. they travel in pairs of male and female, and the mail will often eat the females Young To get her breeding again I guess. LOL (joke, fish don't breed that way). They will eat them just to get rid of them even if they are not hungry. Anyway, that hardhead catfish with the fins clipped looks and mimics the swimming pattern of the baby Ling. and that's how you put the cobia in the boat. now on one occasion, I was standing on the ski platform actually fighting the female, which is the larger of the two oh, and the male kept coming up to the boat. Taunting me. I asked my son to hand me the gaff, and I free gaffed him out of the water and handed it to my son. before anybody goes to flipping out, we had a big fish fry at our church the next day and we had volunteered to supply the fish. we were giving everyone a surprise treat instead of just buying farm-raised Catfish by the Box. anyone who has ever caught a ling, knows that when they are brought on the boat they go ballistic. If you don't have everything when your boat secured, a big Ling will make a mess out of it quick. and that's after a long fight. so this guy that was just jerked out of the water beat the crap out of all of us. sorry I get to talkin fishing and can't shut up . I wanted to share something with you, Rob and Sarah. I don't cook at all. But after watching hundreds of your episodes I felt as though I could start small by cooking a gravy. I told the family we were having biscuits and gravy for dinner the other night. I ended up making a white gravy, very simple and using store bought biscuits but when I was done, my sense of accomplishment was through the roof. I had one misstep, I didn't trust the process and added flour just at the end to make it thicker (and boy, did it get thicker!). I didn't use a recipe, I just went off of memory like Rob does, thanks for making cooking fun!

Xeliot luckily i have a private 10 acre pond in my backyard, that is plum chuck full of crappie, bluegill, hybrid, and bass not as diverse as robs choices, but hey im in illinois so it will do. We are in a culling year as every 5 years the department of natural resources does a health and species check and stocks my pond for free!!! So ill be ripping lip as soon as we catch a warm spell and the water starts turning.

Hi all, I just got my Silverstag fulltang fillet knife two days ago, same blade lentht as yours and tonite I put it to good use on a couple of sea bass I caught from the rocks as we say in my part of France. I do the same with leftover blackened salmon and any white fleshed fish. Its amazing the goodness you can come up with thinking about what's in the refrigerator while you are hungry. Cracked dungenous crab with the same tarter sauce or cream cheese and a slice of cheese also makes an awesome grilled sandwich. Happy you are growing and I love your video's!
