I have had the PB Swiss Screwdrivers for a month now. I bought them to see what all the hype was about PB Swiss I have seen on KZbin. I purchased the Insider Pro (PB 6510.20) for the bit storage to try and replace my Klein - You can see that Video Here: • Super Screwdriver Part...
I purchased the Swiss Grip Ratcheting Screwdriver (PB 8510.R-30) to get free shipping and it was the one everyone talked about.
In this Video I give my thoughts and I am going to give away the Swiss Grip Ratcheting Screwdriver.
Give Away Details & Disclaimer:
I will use a Random Comment Generator next Saturday 10/22/22 and choose a comment for the winner. I will have it remove duplicate comments, so only one entry per person will count. Thank you all for watching and Good Luck!

I think the PB-swiss are engineered for the C6 style bits that come in them, which is why they're shallow, so when you put an E6 longer shank bit they do have play / wobble in the bit. I use the PB-Swiss insider pro w/ the ratchet in my daily bag, however I actually prefer the "blade" style they have in their screwdriver tool roll, but I've never used a tool roll and find it hard to get used to. Thanks for the content!
@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance Жыл бұрын
I’ve not used tool rolls much either and feel the same way. Someone had a good suggestion to cut the ball part of the shank and it would wobble less.. I think that is the main reason for so much wobble. I wanted to get the Insider Pro with the ratchet to try out both in one screwdriver. It was sold out. Thanks for the info…. And for watching 👍

@@MORGANSMaintenance One trick I reccommend : I keep a small leather Slip in my pocket , loaded with 2” Milwaukee 2” impact rated bits , further I put all the PB bits aside , and load the “ Mag” with 1” Milwaukee impact bits . This way , I can trade ammo between my drivers and my M12 Surge ( a resident of my “ Walk in “ bag ! The PB bits are high precision , of excellent quality , but not for the most part impact rated . Wera makes some bits with imbedded Diamond grit , a good thing when dealing with abused/ crammed out Philips screws !

@@chrisfyfe9212 yeah I haven’t put the PB Swiss in my impacts yet. I have pretty much just been using it as a screwdriver. I throw a BitRail in my pocket now when Im doing a lot of “Surging”

@@MORGANSMaintenance Good call , PB bits are very precise , but too good for impact use . Personally , I’ve found Milwaukee Shock Wave to be a good general solution !

@@MORGANSMaintenance The M12 Surge is very cool , kinda like a suppressed pistol , saves a lot of wear and tear on client / occupier nerves ! Gentlemen prefer suppressers !

It’s a good one. I keep thinking I’m going to find that one “ratcheting screwdriver” that is going to make me love it. I would still use this for certain things, but for that price.. I would rather someone else have it that will really use it. Thanks for watching 👍

Try the Wera bit holding driver w/ a Klein flip socket… they woke well together, almost as if they were made to work together. I have a short clip on my youtube Chanel.

I’ve got that in my list of tools to try out. So yours has held up well? I hadn’t bought it because the reviews were back and forth on durability.

Yeah it performed very similar to any other I have used. It did have a nice feel… but yes it’s very pricey. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you like ratcheting screwdrivers, I think you will like it. (Or at least you will convince yourself you do for what you paid for it 😂) Who knows it may be the most traveled screwdriver ever… I will ship to whoever wins. I didn’t want to leave out anyone, I know a lot of my watchers aren’t in the US.

@@dennisr6261 I was between those when I was deciding to try a quality ratcheting screwdriver. I had wondered if I hadn’t liked ratcheting screwdrivers because I hadn’t had a “good one”. I really like WERA screwdrivers, probably my favorite dedicated ones right now. I went with the PB Swiss mostly to just try one out… that and it was all everyone was talking about (peer pressure 😂)

It's always a pity when we buy over-hyped tools. You feel both angry and mocked. I can fully understand that. Especially if it comes to tools from Europe. Opinion that they are always better, finer and extremely precise products is sometimes a myth. Small giveaways are good sings of constant growth of the channel. BTW don't consider my comment in the give away, please. For sure there are some people that will benefit much better from that give away.

It is no doubt a quality tool (still a bit pricey in my opinion)… I just know I’m not going to use it very regularly and someone else would love it. It will pick a random comment (I think all I can remove multiple comments from one person) so it may be you… but if you are picked I could just click the button again. I hope this one goes well, if so we may do more in the future.

@@MORGANSMaintenance PB Swiss makes very high quality tools, but it doesn't mean you can't make a bad buy. I'm not a fan of ratcheting screwdrivers either. Yeah, in that case please click the button again. Let's hope that more companies will send you some tools for testing and you would be able to give them away.
