Here's the strange thing about this: Burton Jr. (announcer) bowled 279 against Holman in 1984. Fast forward 3 years to 1987, Randy Pedersen (future announcer) sees Burton, Jr's 279 & raises him 10 more, for a 289. Before you tie Holman to the whipping post like in the Allman Bros. song, let him go kick the foul light, for old time's sake. When Holman did that, that also, was a doubles match.

That is such a shame to see a pro give up like that so early in the game. Awesome performance by RP. Always fun to watch.

PbaBowling, That was an awesome upload of the Pba Nearly Perfect that features the Semi Finals of the 1987 Pba National Championship. Also, Randy Pedersen was the best Bowler and did awesome commentary on the Pba Tour. Also, Randy Pedersen did threw a great shot on the 2nd Ball in the 10th frame. Also, I am looking forward to the 2025 Season on the Pba Tour especially with Randy Pedersen doing the Color Commentary.

9:58 Even the quality of the telecast went cheering on in the audience. 😂🎳 Since March of 2021, “289” has been my highest score so far. I have yet to earn my first 300 soon.
