President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leads the groundbreaking ceremony of the Meralco Terra (MTerra) Solar Project at Barangay Callos in the Municipality of Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija on November 21, 2024.
MTerra Solar Project is considered the world’s largest solar plant and battery storage facility situated on 3,500 hectares of land in the Provinces of Nueva Ecija and Bulacan. It is expected to become operational by 2026. Its primary goal is to address the nation’s growing demand for electricity while supporting the shift toward sustainable and clean energy solutions.
