@OhNotThatКүн бұрын
@@B_Bodziak To answer your question, the best and most effective time and moment to call him out on it is literally as he's doing it in person to you. This is why with guys like PBD "debates" are a constant slog because you're always needing to attach "I didn't argue that" or even "Nobody advocated for that." The more attention you bring to what he's doing not necessarily in a hostile way, but in a matter of fact clinical tone like a nanny telling off a child. The more difficult it is for him to rhetorically remain on point and be cohesive. This was seen famously with Tim Pool, who got extremely agitated whenever Sam Seder effectively made him explain his implications and not "move on". For PBD you might need a little social skill and charisma to knowingly give a "side glance" to the camera like in the Office tv show, to keep reminding the audience, in a joking manner of course (except not really), that PBD doesn't understand what he's talking about OR catch him out for lying again. Remember these 'debates' are meant to be entertaining intellectual wrestling matches.

I agreed with part Ramaswamy's rant about America embracing the beauty vs brain and how we cheer the high school jock's hard work but don't acknowledge the valedictorian for theirs. But his reasoning is wrong. I remember in 1989 my school organized a walk out to protest budget cuts that would keep our sports programs but cut classes. And most of our sport teams would've been lucky to have more than 5 wins a season regardless of sport. America doesn't invest in our public education systems and we wonder why we don't have enough talent to take tech jobs. Our young people don't get the rewards my parents and grandparents got for being loyal employees to their employer. These tech bros want to exploit our workers like every proper robber barons done in the past.
@cassandratq93012 күн бұрын
THERE IS NO AMERICAN SHORTAGE OF HIGHLY-EDUCATED TECH WORKERS! (Your point re high school education is nevertheless also correct.)
@VanMoona2 күн бұрын
@cassandratq9301 Pardon me for my ignorance of how much talent we have in our workforce. Thank you for the correction. But if we take that part of comment out, it better explains what is going on in general with the American workforce. We as a nation underfund our public schools, then our corporations expect us salaried workers to commit to more hours than we are being paid for, and businesses use foreign labor to replace Americans who demand fair wages or reasonable benefits, exploiting labor in ways similar to those of the robber barons. I'm by no means anti immigration but I'm pro worker. I don't believe any employee working in America should be exploited for profits. Perhaps this makes me a bit naive.
