Appreciate this video. You got a new subscriber here! I have a ‘21 f150 with the 3L diesel and bought the filters a while back so that I have them to change at the next oil change. This truck has been great for us. It’s my daily driver and occasionally tows our travel trailer. Mixed driving, I’ve never got below 22mpg even in the winter time. Our last vacation trip from IN to NC and back…..solid 30mpg! Truck has been trouble free for 25k miles. You can’t go wrong with one of these! Too bad the diesel option is gone.

That looks pretty simple to do. I’ve seen quite a few of those F-150 Powerstroke diesels in Georgia. I was interested in one of those a few years ago and still am. Too bad Ford quit making it. Quiet for a diesel. Some gassers are louder.

I'm not a pro. Just using 32mm and bearker bar. Need bit of force to loosen that filter breaker bar gets it done. I like the design no need for torque wrench. Filter stops turning when fully installed. The firewall filter is more of a pain...

Why do you prime the fuel line after changing the one under the trunk? But before you changed the one in the engine compartment. I always change both then prime the fuel lines and filters. That way the secondary filter has less fuel drain out.

@@tonyprovo7816 the main issue with these used to be cranks breaking but then they redesigned it before it was put in the F150. There’s a dedicated 3.0 group on Facebook where you can find more information :) There have been spun bearings here and there, but overall seems like it’s a decent engine so far, and you should be able to save more in fuel costs than the actual extra maintenance expenses due to it being a diesel
