"Game Party" Wow. What an amazing title for you video game that doesn't at all sound bland and generic.

The Wii was just saturated with shovelware mini-game collections, and the vast majority of them had terrible, formulaic naming conventions that might have been spit out by a computer. There seem to be about 10 words to choose from if you want to release a mini-game collection. "Game" and "Party" are up there in frequency. It's great, actually, because if you see those words in the title of a game, you know exactly what it is ("bland and generic"), and can steer clear. They were also very often carnival themed, for some reason , and this would be denoted by appending the word "Carnival." There are many dozens of these godawful games, and I never understood the business strategy. Oh, maybe they were just expressing themselves artistically.

Haha fair point. Mario gets a pass partially because it's Mario, and partly because it's almost a different genre of game that predates the Wii's sensational success. The shovelware party games are a whole other beast, and they're not even aping Mario Party really.

Family Party: 30 Great Games Outdoor Fun is one that I owned. Had a handful of games that were good, but the rest were either unplayable due to controls or just not fun.

If you look at the basketball game leaderboard. Some of the names the creators programmed in got an odd number of points which is impossible when there are no foul shots or three point shots. This also begs the question why does each shot count for 2 points instead of 1 when you can't get any three point shots

I just played this game with my friend at his house. We played ping cup once, and then stomped on the disc, snapped it in half, and threw it in the garbage. We had more fun destroying it than playing it.

At 11:42, what likely happened (which does happen when you play with a real dart board) is that you hit the metal wiring, the grey lines, which causes the dart to bounce back. The rarity of it happening though is even greater than getting a high score in my opinion.

This is no-joke one of my favorite games on the Wii lol. I've had tones of fun playing this game with my friends. The characters you unlock are hilarious. I never really had a problem with the controls. I'm pretty sure pbg never actually figured out how the air hockey controlles work. You point at the screen where you want the hand to be. It looked like he was trying to move the Wii remote in order to move the hand. He kept jabbing the remote at the tv when he wanted to hit the puck. I think they had the right idea for the other games, they were just bad at it lol.
