When I was about 2 there was a incident with billy goat. He was scooping me up with his horns and throwing me in the air. I got a couple flying rides in before an adult intervened. Thankfully he wasn’t ramming me like these bulls sometimes do. Besides some bruising, I wasn’t hurt.

i believe its to let the bull know 1. its work time and he's gotta get to bucking the second the chute opens 2. its like having a strand of hair on your face, you want to get rid of it - same feeling. If its too tight he just WONT HOP so its amazing to think the myth still exists where it's tight.

you know these riders all have shattered hips by the end of it, right? Also females bones arent as dense = more prone to breaking in this sport. Reality would be no one really wanting to see a female in that situation. Rodeo is pretty much a man only sport for the sheer damage done to the riders. saying this as a girl, not some female hating male.
