Ironically this taught me and led me to research extensively Makalawena. Had no idea there was a village there that was wiped out by a tsunami in 1946 and the main pond was made smaller. After the 2011 tsunami i spent 3 hours single-handedly restoring the pond on the far south side. Auwe! Wish we'd restored the original on the north side in 1946-47. Unfortunately i don't know what that looked like. Thanks for being epic, Everyone. I love You!

I tried too say with “makemake maimai” that I love water in all it’s properties and I wanted to thank Cindy. I live on an island Atlantic island that needs cares also. I schooled with Aunty Margaret at Keei Beach and had a relationship with the sea and land there. This was sooo well done. Malama Pona to all who care.

i think it's wild Cindi and all the epic volunteers are largely unaware Kahaluu is the Original capital and capitol of Kona and The Hawaiian Kingdom. It is even more sacred than they realize, the place where Kamehameha The Great slept most of his nights. KAHALUU IS THE MOST SACRED PLACE ON EARTH

Haha! i was going say: make is dead, makemake is REALLY dead and You took em even further, My Braddah! Auwe! Haha! "HAWAII E!" is what You meant LMAO "Long Live (Forever) Hawaii." Keep in mind English is backwards when compared to Hawaiian and all other languages, literally putting the subject before the action. Like HA-WAI-I (the god I is 1st, the WAI enabling life, then HA (us all -- the one breath)

It’s not just sunscreen, and there’s no such thing as protective sunscreen it still rubs off in the water. So stop calling it reef safe. It’s also deodorant, shampoo and conditioner that comes off people’s bodies. Give these reefs a break and allow them to heal....
