I've more or less read all of BB's makeup books (expect for the new one that just came out). The very first one I ever read was "Teenage Beauty"...it's really old but it really got me hooked on her aesthetic and approach to beauty.

Bobbi Brown books are usually good well rounded choices for any makeup enthusiast but I think this one is definitely one of her best to date. Let me know how you end up liking it. And thank you for the support!

I also love the Bobbie Brown book that you have and it is filled with so much information, but my two favorite go to books that I refer to and they also are filled with so much information are: "EYE CANDY" by Linda Mason and "STYLE EYES" by Taylor Chang-Babaian and as you might have guessed, they are all about every eye size and color and what colors look good like warm colors vs. cool colors and how to apply your eye makeup...etc. and like I said, they are my "go to books" and full of info.

Thank you so much for this more thorough review. I know a young teen who wants to get into theatre makeup but who is already very good at doing their friends' makeup for special ocassions. The friends are from all ethnicities with diverse skin tones - very pale northern european to dark African colouring; middle eastern to far eastern - it sounds like different skin tones are taken into account in this book so that will help to hone their skills as I know it's something that is hard to get right. This will make a great gift, thank you.

+LittleRockapotamus Another one to look into would be the makeup book by NARS; I think it's called "Makeup your mind". There's a great variety of different ethnicities and age groups plus a wide range of looks. It's quite self explanatory for those who have a bit of background in makeup but could be a little challenging for beginners but I love the format which is very clear to read and is just simply a beautiful source for inspiration.

I'm not sure what's your point or why you need to be here if you are not watching the book review because that's obviously not what you're paying attention to. It doesn't matter what I look like or how "old" I am, if you love books watch it for the information, or else move on.
