iNSANEcOOkieMONstEr I agree my friend has one it the same one like that and it’s so fun I love flying in it It makes you feel like a rock star we flew to Oshkosh in it and we are in Texas but it took no time at all 1 hour and a half!!!!!! this plane is not cheap but compared to a Lear Jet or other it’s the best and cheaper plane to get it’s like the Honda of the sky!!!!!

The Pilatus PC-12 is one of the best aircraft designs ever! And there really is no problem at all with ANY single engine airplane! Each aircraft consist of redundancy systems! All you have to do is perform CORRECT MAINTENANCE on your airplane as described by its manufacturer and it will definitely reward you with flight safety!

No problem for any PC-12 with only four seats. Even the 45s can do that.

I think you will find the 45's can carry more. We have 19 PC 12s, the majority are NG's but the pilot's like the 45s because they can carry extra fuel with the same load config as they can with the NGs.

Clifton Jamison I wonder too. This is a direct competitor of Tbm. One advantage over the tbm is the bathroom. The PC-12 is the best-selling pressurized, single-engine, turbine-powered aircraft in the world.

Turbine engines are designed, built and maintained by men it is impossible for them to be 100 percent reliable, that being said I have flown all over the southern US in a single engine aircraft. But to suggest a single engine turbine is just as safe as a well designed twin in a commercial operation is very ignorant. I have seen over a dozen turbine engine failures on multi engine aircraft and all of them made safe landings.

John doe We'll I do really like single engines from the private owners perspective. A lot easier to be completely on top on one engine than two. Especially now, the reliability on some of these engines is amazing. Especially the PT6 family by Pratt and Whitney which is in the Pilatus. We looking at a typical shutdown rate of 1 in 333,333 hours, stats coming from 31,606 engines and a total of 250 million hours of use. The PT6A is a great engine for a private owner and has a really good inspection procedure laid out in the manual, a procedure that owners can easily do. Two engines will always have a significant degree of safety over a single engine, but its so much easier to keep one engine working reliably then two.

Anthony Frade Everything you said is absolutely correct, what I am very opposed to are people buying aircraft like the PC12 or Cessna Caravan and operating them in a high density commercial environment, hauling people for compensative or hire, as of about a year ago out of the 40 or so PC12s that were destroyed in accidents only 4 could be attributed to engine failure, which is a pretty good safety record, unless you were in one of those aircraft. I spent 20 years as an A&P and Ive done dozens of Hot Section inspections on PT6 engines, they are great engines.But when it comes to carrying the public for money single engine is not the way to go. I have heard that more recently Cessna won't even sell a Caravan to an FAR 135 operator inside the USA anymore, foreign operators only.

Very true, I'm looking at it from a private use perspective where you wouldn't reach the overhaul time nearly as quick as commercial use. If you treat the plane like your baby single engines like the PC12 will reward you in savings and simplicity. Commercial entities don't maintain planes like a private owner who's main hobby might be aviation. With the PC12's exceptional glide performance I'd be more worried about cabin decompression.

The maximum pressurization differential is disappointing. It's only 5.7 psid. To be fair, the TBM's is just as bad.

This "commercial" is deceptive as heck. Notice the bags and containers appear to be empty! People are hefting them with one hand and loading them with no effort. If your going to do a commercial about cargo capacity, I would do it honestly .

All that commercial showed was actors lofting bags filled with fluff...cubic volume has no meaning without weight. All I am saying is the add agency should have used actual loaded baggage to convey actual load capacity. The Damn add is "Sophomoric and lazy

+Dan Hamilton The Ad visualized how much you can actually move with the PC-12. Even if the bags were filled with clothing and travel items, they wouldn't come close to 800 pounds and thus the weight of the bags when shooting was moot.
