Neat video! I've never delved into the PC-98 scene despite knowing of it, so it was fun to listen to you talk about everything surrounding it.

Great video! I came in contact with the PC-98 with the soundtrack of Eien no yuushi, which had me perplexed with it's quality! I couldn't find much information about the game or the console. So it was very informative to see its lifespan, uses and that fans are conserving it.

Yeah and the parallels between the US and Japan over the decades was truly remarkable. Not just games, but also music, that was being pumped out simultaneously.

that feel when you know for a fact that this guy watched all the documentaries you did because just consuming the games isnt enough. you need context

Wibarm! I haven't thought about that game in ages! I had it for MS-DOS. Sadly it was on our first family PC which had a monochrome monitor.

Another way get a PC-98 computer is get the hardware components separately and then get a Pc tower case that will accommodate them and assemble the parts into the tower if you find the local connections that sell you those pc hardware and software😉

awsome, most of retro vids bypass pc88/98 as focus mainly consoles. So even dig in gameing history this slice is still niche, hope there will be more documentaries on pc98

As a PC engine and PC FX fan, I plan on getting a PC 98 set up soon for the game room. I'm planning on playing through the first three Ys games on it. Just have to settle on a good system first.
