@GameTechTalk10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! I declined the T39 for review when it was offered because I was too busy with backlog at the time but having exchanged with EasySMX in the past, they are a very solid brand as well so I wouldn't be surprised if it holds up nicely to the Nova Lite. Seeing as Windows is supported, it effectively means they use Xbox 360 spoofing which is pretty much the defacto for PC gaming drivers. Linux supports those drivers and so those Steam Inputs. In other words, it is impossible that EasySMX T39 wouldn't work on Linux and SteamOS, despite they not officially stating so. Cheers!

GameSir Nova or 8bitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth?

The 2C should win in terms of latency but the compatibility is not as extensive. For example, the 2C does not work on the Switch whereas the Nova does and has HD rumble, as well as an XInput mode. Go for the priorities that you have, either way both are very good options!

@GameTechTalk7 ай бұрын
It does if you are on Switch mode. Any other mode it will not. As for Switch mode, while it will, you will also need to use a third-party app to convert that gyro motion into something else, right stick, left stick, mouse, etc. There's this software called Handheld Companion that could help you doing that fairly easily. @GameTechTalk8 ай бұрын
The consensus would be, if you want budget above all else mainly for PC? Go Nova Lite. If you want a Switch controller first, with HD rumble, go Nova. If you want to spend a bit more to get a bit more features for a PC centric controller, go T4 Pro. For all intents and purposes, the T4 Pro is a repackaged EasySMX Bayard 9124 but more stylish, all three a great products that you can't really go wrong with.
@hayazhafiz7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the advice. My requirement was for PC. Update: Tried the T4 Pro, I liked the build, lighting and features of the Pro (it even includes a phone holder, cool!). However as a casual gamer, I found the underside back buttons unergonomic and had to hold in a weird position to avoid accidentally pressing them. It was a minor annoyance but happening all the time. I returned the T4 Pro and got the Nova Lite. It doesn't have back buttons underneath so I can hold it quite comfortably, no accidental clicks. Also when I connect it with my PC, the Nova Lite gets recognised as Xbox controller which T4Pro didn't. The buttons felt slightly better on the Nova Lite and the connection seemed faster as well. And it comes with a case. I kinda miss the RGB lights but overall I'm very happy with Nova Lite :) P.S: Update the Nova Lite's firmware to v4200 for seamless connection with PC.

GameSir did a livestream earlier this evening to announce the Nova and Nova Lite to the world. As usual with their livestreams they did a giveaway and, for the first time, I won one! A dark blue Nova Lite, which is exactly the one I wanted. I figured I'd do some research because, well, why not? As I was going through the list of search results looking for a thumbnail that didn't look like lame clickbait, I recognized this reviewer's name because he was also watching and commentating the livestream. He seemed friendly and I figured since his video came up I'd see what he's about. I gotta say, I vibed with GTT's presentation style in this video, so he's got a new subscriber. He's enthusiastic, knowledgeable, covered everything I needed to know, and didn't waste my time. What more can one ask for out of a reviewer? As far as the controller; I'm now even more hyped after this video than I was before. I don't own a Switch. I don't care about the Switch. The Lite version is the superior version for me because of those analog triggers. I'll be using it primarily for Android based emulation, which will definitely take advantage of them, in situations where my X2 Pro isn't viable. Things like using it with my tablet or with my phone's DEX Mode (technically Screen+ because it's an LG - RIP) on the TV. I can't wait to have mine in my hands and it'll definitely be used and enjoyed.

Ahh thanks so much for the kind words! The Nova would be able to achieve what you wish however, it's starting to show it's age (which is absurd to say because it's not that old) but at the pace that this market is moving, it sort of is. Keep in mind that the Nova does not have a PS Mode so while gyro will work, you will most likely have to make sacrifices to get that support, whereas a controller that can spoof as PS mode would retain a higher fidelity of features on PC. So in a nutshell, think of the T4 Cyclone Pro as the actual "Pro" version of the Nova Lite. As addressed in the video, the Nova is just a different DNA altogether whereas the Nova Lite and the T4 Cyclone Pro feel more alike. With that said, the T4 Cyclone Pro is superior in just about every way and feels about on-par in quality. That should speak to just how much quality the Nova Lite feels like. It just is barebone in terms of "Pro" features. Last, I'd say that if the extra features of the T4 Cyclone Pro don't appeal to you (hall effect triggers, back paddles, trigger rumble, higher polling rate) then go with the Nova Lite. If the extra features are things you look forward to, go with the T4 Cyclone Pro. I hope this helps! :)

I mainly want a controller to play Rocket League, anyways is the Nova Lite better than a PS4 controller? Excuse me for my little knowledge, but your opinion will matter a lot (am a casual player by the way) And yes one more thing, which controller from the ones I mentioned with a better polling rate? Thank you in advance, your vids are very informative and amazing
@GameTechTalk7 ай бұрын
Well, depending on where you play, the Dualshock 4 is a very very good controller despite it being a little older. It was a step ahead with it's polling rate even then. It can also be overclocked to do 1000hz. With that said, overclocking is not a flawless solution and in that regard, the Nova Lite does have a better "flat" performance versus the Dualshock 4 from Sony. So assuming you are playing on PC, and assuming that you will play wired, the Nova Lite is a better solution for responsiveness. Keep in mind the Nova Lite does not work natively on PS4. It does not have six-axis gyro, no controller speaker, and no track pad either. In my humble and honest opinion, the Nova Lite will also be better because it has asymmetrical sticks, I don't know that there are studies on the subject, it's just my logic coming into play but hear me out. I like both styles but when it comes to doing heavy movement and camera work (like it is in Rocket League), I find asymmetrical helps the brain hemispheres not get locked into synchronous physical movements... if that makes sense. Sorry for the wall of text, I hope this helps! :)

Unfortunately, it cannot. It works for PC, Switch, Android, SteamOS, iOS and MacOS. Many are voicing there desires for an Xbox controller in their discord, let's hope they work on that but I do think that licensing would be quite expensive so I'd expect a price jump if ever, and many features would have to go like Switch support.

These seem like such a great bargain! Glad you showcased these as I love seeing *affordable* great controllers

Thanks Majin! Lots of people have asked my opinion about the T39 and I was originally offered to review them but I declined at the time. I reached out to EasySMX to see if they are still looking for coverage, if they are, I'll pin it against these for sure. Cheers!

All matte plastic... yyyeeessss. The less glossy plastic I see, the happier I am. First the new controllers from EasySMX, and now these. Awesome.

The gaming hardware accessory world has been blooming like crazy lately and by blooming I mean superior product just keeps coming. Hopefully, this doesn't cause too much FOMO in people but I don't recall seeing such a persistently growing era like the one we are in.

In Asia its selling for $12 including sales. I just ordered one. No way they are making a profit on these....

Shocking really. I wonder if it was designed as a loss leader to get people familiar with the brand. Genius if so cause it’s been talked about very positively.

Both pads lack analog triggers?
@GameTechTalk9 ай бұрын
The Nova regular have "non-analog" triggers whereas the Nova Lite has analog triggers. Cheers!

Why the one glove? Are you insane?
@GameTechTalk2 ай бұрын
When I review stuff, I hate having dust, and I shoot in the basement of a very old house so there is dust coming out the walls like it's impossible to ever get rid of it. The glove sometimes is there because it makes it easy to wipe dust during filming but also to prevent finger smudges. Oh and yes, I'm insane. Thanks for watching!

It can be that cheap because controllers are actually not that expensive to create it’s like between $5-$12 to manufacture. We are over paying for these controllers
@GameTechTalk10 ай бұрын
I get what you are saying so think of it this way, out of all the inexpensive controllers that cost very little to manufacture (and usually are super cheap)? I have never seen one that is of such quality as these two ones. I've tried many and to me, a 20$ controller feels like a 20$ controller with the exception of EasySMX. I assure you, it's good stuff, cheers!

I'd say so yes. Nova Lite still is awesome however. As for Nova, it's great but a bit "one trick pony" with it's heavy Switch-centric DNA. I love it though!

Bought a nova lite,waste of money-just saying
@GameTechTalk4 ай бұрын
Depends on what standard you uphold. If you usually play with a Dualsense Edge and buy a Nova Lite, I can understand why it would gather dust, as an example. But what is waste for you, could be treasure to somebody else, especially when the product is genuinely good. I think the Nova Lite is a phenomenal product for the price point that it sets, but I found better. Video coming out shortly!

@@GameTechTalk bought because of the Hall sticks but can’t calibrate it,left stick won’t stay where I aim keeps going to the left non stop?
@GameTechTalk4 ай бұрын
@@rorylennon3338 There is a calibration shortcut, it should be in the manual. Can't remember exactly but basically, you hold a couple buttons, it'll kick the controller in calibrating mode, you do the thing and you should be set from there.
