Being a story continuity nut, I must say that this is a very appropriate game sequel. Fan-made or not, the title: 'DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 4: THE KONG'S RETURN', featuring all four Kong buddies, Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, and Kiddie, as playable characters is very believable. Even if it's not 'official', it's showing the obvious... after beating the KAOS machine, the Kongs most definitely returned to their jungle home, safe and sound. Whether an unofficial storyline was ever established or not, nevertheless, a story never escapes my eyes: My interpretation of the game's plot is that, since there seems to be no K. Rool to stop this go-round, and no bananas or Kongs were kidnapped, Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, and Kiddy are just going on a nice adventure because they want to... not to save or retrieve something, for once. They're all free, and they're just wanting to enjoy each other's company. Looking at just the title screen, and the way they've got their arms around each other and smiling, makes me think that they all just decided to have a slamming jungle bash and go exploring together. At least... that's my interpretation of 'Donkey Kong Country 4'. Very impressive game, in my opinion. It does a good job of maintaining the spirit of the series, and the characters are doing just what you'd expect them to do. Thumbs up!

To be honest, creating a mine cart in MMF2 is pretty darn difficult. It takes enormous skill to get something that even works. The difficulty is in the details. I wish I had more time to work on my own game engine - it would make this game 1000 times better. Perhaps I'll get it done soon enough to be of some use to Kalango. :)

The music really doesn't match the magic of David Wise or Eveline Novakovic's music in my opinion, nor does it complement the levels as perfectly, though that's understandable considering that they're basically music gods. The songs themselves are still pretty good. I still gotta say that this an impressive fan game, especially with how it has new music and new graphics, and the new graphics do capture the DKC CGI look well.

I like how they used elements and character designs from all three games. I felt like I was looking at a true sequel to the DKC trilogy. +paul wyremaski I think it doesn't exactly fits with DKC, it has a really aggressive appearance. DKC bosses are not pretty, but they certainly have an appeal. If they change the attack pattern of the boss and make him like a big crocodile, with eyes, I think it would suit the game better.

Bugs as a demo is still occurring. Yes that first boss is buggy. He is not making any movements of attack that was planned, and worse, it can not take damage. As you see in the video, the kongs abut it but do not die, they were to die. :/ In short: it was not to be. But wait, this will be fixed in future versions (I hope).

Usaram muito a base do DKC1. Alguns movimentos estão "flutuando" demais e algumas abelha ora estão muito rápidas, ora muito lentas. Esse DG Dinossauro ficou muito estranho. No mais, bela criatividade!

+James Haas Ikr? Donkey Kong Country went from being a unique atmosphere platformer to being a generic 2D platformer. The newer games added generic heart meter, generic collectables, generic challenge, and generic kiddy image. Remember when Cranky Kong breaks the fourth wall and made fun of the games? Now he isn't funny and the games lack humor. The water levels also added generic bubbles for air. The original trilogy water levels were slow and beautiful. Now it's like any other animal based platformer.

Returns and Tropical Freeze are very good games, but there are not good Donkey Kong Country games. When I played them, I didn't feel like I was playing an Donkey Kong Country game. They changed a lot of stuff in the newer games that made them feel like an completely different video game series.

"Sound Teste"... o pessoal que desenvolveu esse jogo tá precisando de mais umas aulas de inglês, hein. mas bacana o empenho de juntar elementos dos três DKC em um só. o único detalhe que eu achei que não ficou muito legal (tirando o level design meio quebrado, mas quem sou eu pra dizer, considerando que eu não sei programar) foram esses barris de bônus que o logo desaparece, no estilo do DKC3. esses barris só faziam isso no DKC3 em fases que não tinham o céu aberto pra disparar (tipo na água, por exemplo), mas aqui nenhum deles dispara, é só essa animação da logo do barril desaparecendo, mesmo nas fases a céu aberto. mas é só um detalhe.

Sí, el mismo desarrollador de juegos, dijo que esta fase es "error" y enseñó el truco donde se puede pasar a la etapa sin necesidad de utilizar el carro. Pero he demostrado que lo que me puede pasar a la canasta sin usar ningún truco. ;)
