I remembered the difficulty as much as the music of this game. Both are hard as hell and I hated the difficulty but as I kept going back death after death I learned the pattern and finally beat it. The sweet taste of victory was awesome and the music was even better. Such an underrated shmup imo.

Actually, it was released in Japan as "Violent Soldier".

Yeah, and it had gameplay differences to boot. Notable portions include stage 1 midboss having different patterns, stage 4 second half having more meteors but thankfully having blue power-up, and stage 6 having those green balls that shoot in all 8 directions.

You know...I still got this game and I know I'll never beat it because, I don't have the poise, skills, patients, like this guy to withstand such cheap computer tactics and cheating. I can't believe this guy just went through such a hard game unharmed. Hey man, you got the juice. Take care.

One of the few shooters ididnt have for Turbo back then. Looks like a good game if you are into shooters. My only minor complaint is should of been at least 2-3 minutes longer. At just under 20 min its a bit on the short side. Yes i do realize most shooters are short affairs.

I hate this game so much. The ship goes way too slow and the difficulty is sadistic. Its a shame because the changing shield mechanic is actually really cool and innovative, but after level 2 shit gets out of hand. Levels 3, 5 and 6 are hard but fun, while level 4 is hard but just plain annoying with the screen covered in meteors that all fly at you and take 10 hits to kill. I think it would be a pretty awesome game if they just started you with 1 speed power up and removed level 4.

i was wracking my brain trying to remember the name of this game and bam, here it is. i remember it being tough as nails, especially because your ship is so slow.
