I built a pc, then quickly upgraded and built my wife a pc with the parts, now we have a desk in the room with our 27in monitors and it’s the best gaming experience we’ve ever had. We feel stupid for not switching earlier. We’ll never go back. These console fan boys are just coping. something something something, "DRIVER UPDATES" Yeah, the things that happen either in the background, wait for me to schedule them, or aren't even needed enough to bother with... something something something, "I don't want to sit at a desk to play games!" Okay, so don't... Why dose every idiot think a PC has to sit on a desk? I have one in my living room instead of cable, so I can just watch whatever, OR play games "not at a desk" something something something, "I just want to turn it on and play games!" my brother in Christ, it's not 1997, you don't have to launch games with the terminal anymore; power on PC, 20 seconds, click game icon, game boots. Playing game in about 1 minuet of boot. Woooowowowow! And on the note of "sitting at a desk" funny enough, my PC chair is a couch sectional, I bought it from the "damaged goods" section of a furniture store for 30$. Super comfortable, and cheap. Anyway, I think that covers the last remaining copes ponies have. Oh and one last thing, for the ponies. Most TVs, especially ones over 40 inches aren't really intended for gaming, and part of the way they cut costs is cutting all the onboard hardware that high quality gaming displays have, our "small" displays are much better for gaming, trust me, and your never going to understand it until you get a PC and a decent display. I really can't put into words how terrible gaming on a TV is, unless it's one of the few that are intended specifically for gaming, but those tend to be smaller, and more expensive, so most people overlook them because "I can get the bigger one for the same price!"
@SuperSayinSolidSnek2 ай бұрын

Its almost like manufacturers have realised theres a market for it as a lot of people want to game on a big screen AND with decent settings. Buy any GOOD tv these days and you will get 4k 120. Also a model of tv that has 120hz will most likely have in every model size and not just the smaller screens as you said. The 42 and the 75 inch version will be specced the same in most if not all cases. Gaming can be great on a tv. Just get a good one.

@@DragonOfTheMortalKombat I have my PC hooked up to a 4k 120hz with VRR in my living room. I only play single player games and I didn't go for a PC monitor/desk set up is for a couple of reasons. Half of my work day is at a PC and coming home I don't want to sit at a desk to game and I don't have enough space in my place to have a desk set up for it. I prefer a bigger screen experience anyways. To preface this... TV's have come a long ways in its tech for gaming BUT I know they still can't compete with the tech in the PC monitors. I understand that people that game on a PC monitor cannot go back to gaming on a TV because you guys can tell the difference, I know that if for some reason if I started gaming on a monitor I could easily tell the difference as well. Like coming from console to PC.... gaming from 30fps to 60fps+ . In the PC community I am in the 1% of people that have this type of set up, I am in a small minority here. When I had to replace my tv on a whim (My 6 year old 60hz set died on my all of a sudden) I tried looking for one of those BFGD monitors they had back 7-8 years ago, but I couldn't find any online for sale. I think its for the fact they weren't selling well because the 99% of PC gamers liked a smaller screen size sitting at a desk and they probably stopped producing them. So before the incoming of "you don't know what you're missing" comments come out... I understand and I get it. My set up would be an absolute horrible experience for the vast majority of you guys but I enjoy it and it works "For me".

I feel like you might've over-invested in your GPU a bit and not enough in your CPU. I get the sense a 4080 Super would probably get bottlenecked by a Ryzen 5 7600X. Also the Samsung SSDs are generally overpriced and not particularly great performance, the WD SN850X or SK Hynix Platinum P41 are both similar performance to the 990 Pro for less money. The SSD isn't particularly important either, it only really affects boot and load times. Even a WD SN770 would be perfectly sufficient.
@LLGTMT2 ай бұрын
@@100organicfreshmemes5 Nope I've done the testing, the Ryzen 5 7600X isn't even close to maxing out usage in any title I've run including AAA titles like Black Myth Wukong, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro and the likes. My CPU usage never goes above 65% and my GPU usage is maxed, I could in fact run an RTX 4090 in my system and it would be a dream. People tend to over invest in their CPU for a minimal gain in FPS, when the money would be better spent in a higher end GPU. The only time I would need more CPU power is if I also wanted to stream those titles or have my PC double as a workstation. And also no, the 990 Pro runs faster read and write times than the SN850X (I've done the side by side comparisons) at least in my own rig. Can't speak for the SK Hynix Platinum, but I can tell you that Samsung owns SK Hynix as a parent company, so I'd bank that its the same general performance, since both are coming from the same production facility.

It's not difficult, and it surely isn't unlearnable or contributes to that much added time compared to a console. You can hook a TV up to your PC & have it anywhere a home console can be (i.e. bedroom, living room, kitchen (I have a wall mounted 32in by my dining table cause I like to watch TV as I eat), etc.). I have a 24in LED monitor as my primary & a 40in Smart TV as my secondary monitor. *Dun Dun Dun* It's as if the PC also has HDMI ports too, just like consolesI swear they are just trying to justify their purchase by putting down everyone else to make it seem like everyone is stupid for not wanting to buy the PS5 Pro. Buy it or not but game where you want too, it makes no difference to me.

All previous upgrades gave you double the performance whole this pos can't even reach half of that its a joke and a very expensive joke at that.

If I'm spending 1500-1800 dollars on a new PC, I genuinely don't mind spending another few hundred bucks to have them put it together. They are going to do a much better job with the cables than I would, and if they happen to break something, it's on them and not me. Also, I make good money at my job, and I don't have the time to waste on a Saturday to do it myself when I can just turn it on and install steam. For me, when I spend 1800 dollars on a PC, I know it's going to give me really good performance for 7-8 years. A console will only promise you this for about 2 years, and then it will be out of date. Then you need to buy the next console... and the next console... and the next console. And when you have your PS6, you will probably have spent more money than me on the actual hardware then I did when you bought your PS5. And odds are pretty good my 1800 dollar PC will still be better than your PS6. I also, I can't stress enough the productivity benefits you get with a PC. If you're programming or doing anything productive on it that makes you money, then it basically just pays for itself anyway.

It's true. I haven't seen a single pc player factor in the magic in the ps5's ssd when talking about the ps5 pro. We all know they're going to put even more magic in the pro's ssd this time around. There's no way it will be a marginal upgrade to the base ps5. It will totally be different from when we got scammed with the ps4 pro and Xbox one x. I mean, it costs almost twice what the ps4 pro costed, so it must be the literal fourth coming of christ (the ps4 being the second and the ps5 being the third). 😂

18:40 text clarity? Really? I just treated myself to a 4k 32in QD-OLED panel and it is a beast for multitasking and the colors are near perfect for creative workloads. You do not notice any fringing at all unless you are pixel peeping way too close to the display or with a macro lens. It is a complete non issue. 22:50 This is less applicable than your example, but I snagged an old pre-built i7-7800 system with 64GB of RAM and a GTX 1080 for under $300 a few months ago for an Unraid system I was building. Thats less than a Switch and still very capable machine. Swap out the GPU and PSU and you could easily destroy a PS5 for cheaper. I got a used 1000W Gold Corsair PSU missing a single cable for $40 to power my 10HDDs. Flip the 1080 and you would have $100 more funds to work with. After storage, you have $400 to work with to get a better GPU. Toss in an RX6800 and you are set. 27:50 and if you don’t want to deal with building a PC then there are plenty of nerds that will gladly do it for free. Many enthusiasts love to build systems but don’t have the funds or a reason to keep building systems. Asking for help is like giving away tickets to an amusement park. All the fun without the financial strain. Not to mention we are quite friendly. Some random kid at my college campus was blindly asking people if they could help him build his PC because he was having trouble getting his to boot. I am an introvert, yet I still immediately jumped at the opportunity to play with some new hardware I haven’t built with before. My boy screwed his mobo directly to the case (no stand offs) and had some cables loose. I had him set and on his way in about an hour. That was about 5 years ago. Never saw him again.

Ponies are paying $700 for a digital only console without a stand. And then they have to pay separately for a disc drive, paywalled backwards compatibility, paywalled online MP, and paywalled cloud saves, and they're all inferior to the alternatives. That's already $900+ for the PC equivalent only for 1 year (not counting regular future payments) but somehow that's a flex. But consoles were the "cheaper simpler option," right?

Every point this guy made was either flat out wrong, a lie, or inconsequential. For instance he mentioned Rising V not working on the Steam Deck, but on protondb it is rated gold and Steam itself rates it "playable". Then there's the whole trophy thing. I would wager the real reason he pushes for "Piss 5 Pro" comes down mostly to him being a consoomer. For instance he mentions trophies. Now most people would probably recognize that achievements on PC and trophies on PSN are basically the same thing. A quick google even shows there are websites designed to consolidate the trophy and achievements from multiple platforms such as metagamerscore. What's more is that since Steam has MORE games than PSN, and there are services designed to add achievements to retro games as well, if it was truly about the dopamine hit, that he would have no problem migrating to PC. But for somebody like him, it's not the dopamine hit from playing the games or achieving something in them, but rather the consooomer's dopamine hit from feeling like you supported a certain brand. Then there's the part where he talks about wanting the best of the best This is something I've seen from some consoomers who find themselves unable to be satisfied with something that isn't the best that money can buy. Guys like him are perfectly able to spend 700 bucks for a subpar experience because they feel that there's nothing better, but if they had a 700 dollar PC they think they are getting a bad experience because they are lying to themselves when they say they need something more powerful. That's not the PC's fault, it's a personal issue that a grown adult shouldn't have. I don't know why one would settle for an obectively worse experience just because the alternative might not be the best money can buy, but cosoomers got to consoom I guess. Lastly, I just want to laugh at some of his points. Thermal Paste? Really? Does he not realize that you don't have to be perfect when applying thermal paste? He probably does, and just pulled that out of his ass for his point. Typically the worst that can happen if you apply too much thermal paste is you make a bit of a mess on the CPU. if that is a concern, just get non-electrically conductive thermal paste. And then the point about the PS Portal. I laughed pretty hard at that one because he wants to shill a 700 dollar console by also shilling a 200 dollar controller with screen that only streams games. Why one would prefer that lagfest over just playing games natively with a Steam Deck or ROG ally is beyond me. He really isn't beating the allegations of being a Consoomer. You don't even need a Portal for that, even your phone could stream games.
@AlbedoAtoned2 ай бұрын
Also, that deal you showed in your video is quite good even without the 20% discount. 500 for a PC that could go toe to toe or potentially beat the PS5 Pro is a crazy deal, and if you could get it for 400 then it's even better. The PS5 Pro lacking a disc drive makes it an even worse comparison. I figure there is probably some drawback that makes it not as good as it sounds on paper, but I have seen quite a few builds that show the PS5 Pro is pretty bad value wise regardless of how good that prebuilt actually is.

yeah im gonna push back on adjusting the games for PC not being a big deal. About half of the many games I have on PC take more than a moment to adjust. If I'm going back and forth between my Monitor and TV I have to adjust the settings each time, and it's always a bigger pain for the TV. I have 5 other consoles and with exception to horror games this is not an issue. Over time it only becomes more annoying especially if it's a game that crashes unless you have the exact settings because it's a mediocre port (more common than it should be). Also saying "I'm perfectly find doing X this way" doesn't matter. I've got friends who are fine playing older games on a modern TV, and I'm not so I use a CRT. Neither of us are wrong.
