​​@@2024newfrontier completely depends on the Game. If you play Old or non high Performance Games. You can easily get 8 hours. FFIX gets 10 hours on a full Charge. Borderlands 3 set to very low settings gets 4 to 6 hours on a max Charge. Fallout 4 is the same as BL3 but Bethesda Locked Unmodified Steam Deck users out of the Setting. Fallout 3 and new Vegas get 6 to 8 hours on a Full Charge. It mostly games that Flaunt their Graphical Capabilities that only get 1 to 2 hours on Deck. Like Cyberpunk 2077.

Well, one thing I'll say is that fiddling with Linux is what killed my excitement for it. Was spending more time troubleshooting than doing anything else with my PC... So that is a valid concern against Linux. The Steam Deck thing though... I took a photo of my Steam Deck and Switch in their carrying cases and posted it to Twitter saying "All my gaming needs are in this photo!", and promptly put them both in a backpack. The Steam Deck is super easy to carry around...

The fact that the Steam Deck is bulky is actually a positive. It's literally so comfortable to hold and most of the bulk comes from the gamepad grips, unlike the Switch which is flat and requires me to take frequent breaks so I don't cause pain to my hands. Plus, I workout frequently, so I can manhandle my deck all day without stopping. I even let my friends hold on to my deck and they say the same thing... There's a joke here somewhere...

I will say that just because the steam deck's gigabyte of storage is bigger doesn't really mean it's better. Because of the switch's idea to use cartridges instead of CDs, switch games are actually pretty small, capping at like fifteen gigs max. Not to mention, you can get a lot of games for the switch physically and not digitally, whereas the steam deck is almost entirely digitally. Even with my computer, which has about a terabyte of storage, it's still almost full, and a lot of that is because of steam. That being said, the switch's 32 gigs of storage is still really bad, but it doesn't mean that the steam deck's 100-200 isn't bad either, especially with context in mind.

Ok. I get the complaint in regards to the steam deck being big and not exactly pocketable. But this guy is putting stuff into backpack. You can get a bigger backpack, like... The switch lite isn't even super compact to begin with, either. :/ And like... If you even want to make the argument for which system is better for pocketability, it should be noted that we have retro handhelds now, if you don't mind older games. Grab a friggin, miyoo mini or something and go to town on some ps1 games. Grab a retroid and enjoy some ps2 and gamecube games, or something.

I almost disliked this video until I heard his weird point about battery life. The Steam Deck is actually too big, and even the Switch V1 is too large. The Switch Lite is still not compact, but I can barely carry it, taking most space on my backpack. Not everyone can use large backpacks, most people in my country use small bags for social reasons, and you're automatically being classified as an unattractive nerd for using a boring giant backpack. However, I found it strange that he made this point while showing his giant backpack, and saying he will also bring a laptop in the video. You just didn't have to put forced masculinity in your video, though I may be a bit too sensitive. I got "skill issue" vibe from your video.

Tell that to me being able to run totk at an actual stable 30 fps rather than dipping down to 20 fps several times (you can do 60 but it speeds up cutscenes)
