This is one of the most beautiful games I ever played. The scenes included everything I was looking for in a game. The puzzles were really fun to solve. I consider myself lucky for finding the HD version of this game and playing it.

Man I was so Immersed by the Heretic Game. Played it with different characters ,liked the Magician Most, ripping apart enemies. A Game full of Secrets , Vaults, n Traps , a Challenge in many Ways ! A Unique Piece of Gaming Art !

Approx 1:35:00 is the furtherest I ever got in this game as a teenager when it came out. It was literally the first game I ever played. I didn't progress further because my game was deleted for some reason and I was too heartbroken to do it all again. It took me hours to get as far as I did. The thing I found the toughest were all the levers you pull and it wasn't clear exactly what they did/opened, so you had to go and find out (game mechanics were new to me then). Oh the memories. It would look rad with a revamp similar to Doom Eternal.

I played through with all 3 classes. I remember using the mage powered up staff in the final battle to fire a self-guiding missile. I saw it loop around in the distance, tearing everything up, then left the screen swept around and tore through everything close to me. I was still playing on a Pentium box so it could barely handle the animations. Still, was fun. It was a nicely saturated game with good pacing for the mood.

@JonnnLeee Yah...The Wraithverge had the most interesting weapon effect in the game. Back in the days I found it hard not to stop what I was doing when one of my coop-mates started shooting ghosts at our enemies. I always felt compelled to watch the ghosts in action. XD Personally, I preferred using the fighter's axe, though. No fancy effects, but a good reach for a melee weapon and to this day one of the most satisfying hit-effects for a melee attack in a FPS.

1:Pass the level Bright Crucible 2:Pull the switch in Sacred Grove with a message that says:A Door opened con Forsaken Outpost. 3:You must go to Hypostyle in order to acces to Heresiarch Seminary 4:Kill the heresiarch in order to enter the portal that leads to Castleof grief 5:In castle of grief you must to find the portal that leads to Forsaken Outpost. 6:Pick the Book: Daemon Codex and doing this the Dolor that leads the portal to Desolate garden. and this is all that you do need to open that door.

How the hell does his guy not look up and down!? Has he gotten so good at looking left and right that he refuses to look up and down? Mouselook Should be used, since the original (even on DOS) has up and down looking as well as jumping So use it

@Rakiarmas In my opinion, the Mage (or Wizard or whatever) is the most difficult to master. He gets a lot of damage from enemies. His "weapons" consume a lot of mana yet they're not that efficient (especially the ice spell). The Cleric, on the other hand, is a good trade-off. At short range, his Snake staff sucks the energy of enemies and adds it directly to the player, and his Wraithverge (cross shaped weapons that shoots ghosts) kicks some serious ass! Have a look at the end of the movie ;o)

@JonnnLeee I did watch the end of the video, when I made my comment. Why I wanted to see Wizard's (Mage's, ect) weapons is that I have seen good LP of Hexen with Fighter & Cleric made by ErykkTehDestroyer, but never found video about Wizard.

Thanks for that nice longplay! If only they made a remake for this game with an easier multi display... Like something with upgraded (no necessarly 3D stuff, I hate it, it's a 2D sprite game) graphics (more frames and detailed sprites!!!) for the 3DS with a wi fi multi... That would be awesooome D:

Nice. The graphics were actually pretty dated by 1995 standards. it uses the doom engine and this was one year before Quake was released. good level design, though.

hexen both playstation pc like yours are what the play has scenes of video which tells the story in detail, and the pc has the graphics are very good but not the videos, but they are equal, but some hexen startles you of, is the music, has more elaboration, compare and then give me your opinion

There are call Serpent riders brothers, there are 3 serpent that already control outer realms, and conquer various worlds they enter and make them left shattered ruin planet etc planet Ossuary episode 4 in Heretic already ruin decaying world and player will witness and travel many world they already conquers via portals. They just like find and travelling another dimension and seed their poisonous influence which in Heretic there succeed conquer the Planet Pathoris and Cronos(Hexen). Hexen 2 their succeed conquer Planet Tyrion. All game in this series take different world to defeat powerful one of them and all different protagonist and unrelated.

It's boring to only play with 4 weapons in all the walkthrough. Heretic on the other hand you have 9, and you can use the tome of power to amplify the weapons in their own way. I thought some of the classes were going to have some of the heretic weapons, like the mage with the gauntlets of the necromancer... but no. Hexen had to be made boring.
