this song has a totally different meaning for me. I was 16 & pregnant when this song came out. My parents made me put my baby girl up for adoption. I gave birth to her in September and she was placed in foster care at 3 days old. It was the worse feeling in the world. I played this song non stop & cried 24/7. Because as it says "I'll be missing you after September and always remember how I loved you "my baby girl". Thank God 2 weeks later after my parents realized I could not go thru life without my baby, they got her from foster care and brought her back to me before any adoptions papers were wrote up. I still love this song and my beautiful baby who has grown up to be a beautiful woman.

I remember them as well!! I was about 17 at the time and working at a local radio station, FM97 WLAN in Lancaster,Pa. We were doing a benefit event for the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. and they sang these songs for the event. I took some pics with Kim and thought she was gorgeous!...I asked her to prom..and she said they were booked on the road ( I'm assuming she was just being nice..lol). Great memories, awesome time in my life.

Really fun seeing this! The album that this was on was one of the first 3 tapes I ever bought (the others being Tommy Page & The Boys.) I have no idea how many nights I fell asleep to Chad's voice, it filled my middle school years. I remember being stunned that we share a birthday too. I'm 36 now and still listen to this song on a regular basis. :D

Sad to say for all of you Folks listenin to this song back in the early 90's. I never had a relationship with any gurl during that time growin up in a Strong Christian Family. I'm so happy I never had to go through any bad relationships in my Highschool years til I started goin to College. That's when Atlanta, Ga Rap music & Cash Money Records Hot Boys took me over with my Homies in early 2000's! I dated College girls left & right but they were just a joke to me like I was to them too. Lmao!I left this type of music for 20 yrs now & I can't help but listen to this song in 2022 because Artist now doesn't have this kind of Talent anymore. One of those songs that deserved to be in the Top 40 (it did miss it, peaking at #41). Music is reminiscent of early New Edition, Osmonds, and Jackson 5. A nice doo-wop feel to it. The lead singer went on to form Shiny Toy Guns (Ricochet is one of my faves).

Thank you for saying so. The other version is clearly some adult's idea of what they think young people want to see. The concept I pitched to the band was what I thought would be fun for them....a week in Florida with all the motorized toys they could handle. We had a day of casting girls in bikinis and were delighted to find the cabana on the beach for the band to perform in. I thought the beauty of the location, the great performance, the sex and the story all worked well together.

I just saw (20 years later) the other video for this song, in which they used some of my footage but put the group in a studio, made parts black and white, and basically fucked it up. It's made based on somebody's idea of what might appear cool to the MTV generation, and they totally stripped out the fun, sex, and spirit of the band. Oh well, I got paid.
