@danzstuff ray tracing is not only for reflections, there are ray traced shadows and ray traced ambient occlusion too

50% fps hit for better graphics, which you can barely see the difference with side-by-side comparison. Nothing new. The only real improvement are reflections, but you will never notice them, because you are busy with gameplay. That's why I never turn on RT. Smooth gameplay with stable 140 fps > better graphics.

My laptop rtx 3050 allows me to only play the game on 1080p low preset with a 54 fps average if using amd frame gen it gets like 80s average. But this is insane, maxed out gets over 140s but raytracing its a huge fps drop, havent tested how that setting would affect my fps. Still really great video, aprecciate this comparisons.

My experience with SM2 technicals has been terrible. The game lighting is weird, ray tracing doesn't make much difference, there's noise in hair or face textures very frequently, a lot of times textures start glitching. But it runs on 75 fps on my 4060 ti 16gb, with everything on highest setting (fg on) so I'm not going around complaining much

Basically nonsesne,, whole RayTracing was absolute nonsense from the beggining . Just company wanted you to buy shitty new GPU. turn off Raytracing and enjoy gaming simple
