Here in the states I'm using Ryzen 5 7600 and Powercolor Hellhound 7800XT. I game at 2560x1440. I'd recommend it to anybody if you find nVidia cost prohibitive. I do love nVidia just can't afford the prices. I'm not a brand loyalist. I'll happily use whatever is the best "Bang for the Buck."

Went with the 7800XT and 7800X3D. I tend to play more CPU heavy games and figured I can get away with just upgrading the GPU in a few years time if something reasonable comes out with a good deal, and the 7800X3D will be able to keep up just fine!

A 2080 super and a 5800x 3d is probably even more than what most people need. You certainly don’t need to be on a DDR5 platform to get excellent 2k performance.

You don't but if you buy into am4 on a new build, you will not be able to upgrade at all. You'll have to buy all new. I am already on AM4 and can't decide between going 5800x3d or upgrading to am5

Well it all depends what you’re looking for as well. 5800x3d and 4090 founders Monitor is 390hz 1080p If I play 1080p max settings rtx on I get 130fps average. No where near my monitors refresh. Your advice is good for most but not for competitive players imo Comp players need a 7800x3d with a 4070 running low settings in wz and Fortnite. Don’t hate me for saying this I love your channel 😊

understanding how to control a CPU bottleneck is necessary no matter how good your CPU is, bc if there is a CPU bottleneck it ruins everything to a horrible degree. Knowing this you have to set things up so that the GPU is the only bottleneck. And that's why stuff like mouse polling rate too high can ruin the experience or fluctuating fps as well, so you put a limiter to the lowest fps you get so it stays constant, and run with vsync as long as the constant fps is atleast half or more of your refresh rate cause below half it will look bad. edit: with this tactic you can get any game to run great on any cpu bottleneck as long as the gpu is beefy. that's why i can have perfect performance after adjusting some settings while using a i7 6700k paired with a 7900xt. It's not about the size it's about how you use it.

I am still on AM4, upgraded my 3600 to a 5800X3D which was heavily discounted and added a 32GB kit of 3600MHz RAM which was also heavily discounted and my GPU can finally stretch its legs. No need to buy another CPU for a while especially at 1440p and above. So many people over spend on their builds for that e-peen but nobody cares about your specs, considering I mostly play older games and mod shit like Fallout, Skyrim and play Brutal Doom in all its forms I'm set for a long time. I can also take advantage of all my RAM for video editing and music production, so I don't feel the need to buy new shit just for the sake of it. The X3D chips are all pretty awesome in all their versions.

I can't afford to go am5 as I will have to buy everything all over again and I don't want to do that. Honestly, it'd be better to wait for the 9800X3D, Core Ultra 7 265K, 8800 XT, and 5070 for $2000+ builds. But if you're building a PC under $2000, 100% go for current-gen products because it'll be over a year before we get stuff like the RTX 5060.

pci express gen 3 should not be a significant limiting factor to running games well. The GPU will run the game as well as the CPU allows it and if the game is set to 'unlimited fps' ( which is a CPU bottleneck scenario) the PCIe gen 5 does like a 10 fps difference.

That is a pretty good combo and should work perfectly. The reason you don't see it is because people either get the 7 7800x3d for better gaming performance or the 9 7950x3d for a similar 7800x3d gaming performance with better workstation performance. 7900x3d sits in the middle. That's not to say that it's bad on the contrary but if you want only care about gaming you get the 7800x3d and if you want better apps performance and have a 50 to 70 dollars to spare go with the 7950x3d. Other than that you should be good to go with the previous combo
