What’s up dev. I was the guy with the long beard that you spoke with briefly by the lazy river when this incident happened right in front of us. My family is still in shock from this. I went to guest relations before we left to tell them what had happened and the most they were willing to do was giving us tickets to come back which I told them we were not returning after this. I didn’t get an apology until the very end of the conversation. You are so right when you said there is no order at this water park. For anyone reading this don’t waste your time or money.

Dev Bro yes that place for my family. They didn’t give it to considering I live in Pensacola fl. They owed me and family a rain day. I had the paper that gave me a free day for us all. But they wouldn’t make good on this rain check. I said keep it and went to volcano bay it’s the best water park in Orlando. Thanks for all your reviews they are knowledgeable and helpful. There is a reason you don’t go here it’s because they are horrible.

As someone who works for Universal and spends some time with team at Volcano Bay…that is not tolerated AT all! That mortifies me! I know in the kiddie pool…accidents do happen. When they do, Universal closes that whole area down, turns off the water, and cleans the mess. That’s part of safety is sanitation. Don’t even get me started at the ones who’ll go off to a bush in a ride queue at one of the regular parks!! I get not wanting to get out of line but for crying out loud…

Again, large groups of ghetto families flood into these parks and cause trouble. These are the same people who act like someone owes them something. I see it everyday. You either have strict civilized rules and bar them for life so it is a privilege to. Be there, or let them ruin everything bit by bit.

Thanks for sharing this video. I would at least say something about what you witnessed to guest relations or management. My sister did technical writing for Disney for 12 yrs and she said she was always tasked with writing assignments pertaining to contaminants in the Disney water parks (feces and urine) She has actually never been to either of the Disney water parks because the things she read and had to write about (internally for Disney) grossed her out. It happens alot more than you think industry wide. I am very disappointed in "Seaworld Parks" employees for not doing something about what you witnessed. I would (personally) make a formal complaint to the company to bring it to their attn. I think as a whole honestly the entertainment industry has declined in quality since the pandemic. but yes, I hear you when you say that experience makes you "re-appreciate" Disney, and that is saying alot considering Disney is a bit of a mess at the moment (100% agree). Always appreciate your candidness and honesty.

Thanks for sharing this experience and really appreciate your honest views. We were on the Disney Fantasy a few years back when a similar thing happened in the Mickey pool. They closed the pool, emptied the pool, and then did a full clean before refilling it and opening it back up again. That’s how it should be dealt with. Really enjoy your uploads and appreciate you deciding to show us your honest experience of this water park. 👍

Former lifeguard here! You are correct. I was a lifeguard at WildWater Kingdom before they closed. Our policy when someone went number 2 in any of the attractions was to blow 4 short whistles and a lead would come over and we tell them what’s going on. They then would contact a supervisor and the attraction would get shut down for 2 hours after the poop was cleaned out and new chemicals was put in.

I would have definitely highlighted my findings with guest services. It’s sad but unfortunately some people out there are the worst of society and I believe we need a heck more security in these parks to catch these people and prosecute them and give lifetime bans. The chlorine in these huge parks can only do so much.

Wait, wait, wait! Dev...you're telling us that some kid that was DEFINATELY old enough to know better, took a #2 in the lazy river?? The whole time I was listening to you, I was thinking, "Man, a kid just started peeing in the water like a urinal? That's just uncalled for." But, had I known from the beginning it was straight up "the unforgivable no-no in the pool" action...man if I had been you I'd have raised that flag up to the highest level of management. Props to you for keeping your cool, as someone who paid $100 dollars to go to a WATER PARK only open till 5pm (another rant for another day).

Dev we couldn’t agree more with you. We were so disappointed with SeaWorld during our visit in October. The staff were so disinterested, there was a notable lack of them (e.g. no one at the end of a queue line to allocate you to a row of the coaster, just a free for all), the food was some of the most expensive, but worst quality, we had the whole time we were there. It saddens me as SeaWorld reminds me of being a kid but we won’t go again. We were going to go to Aquatica during our trip, but after our day at SeaWorld we didn’t bother and did Volcano Bay again, thank god we changed our minds! Discovery Cove however was awesome, we loved it.

Seaworld should be ashamed of themselves (as well as the parents). Not only do they not allow you to take your own food in and then charge a fortune for terrible food but to ignore something as serious and such a health risk to others. We visited in November from the UK after not coming since covid and were so disappointed. But that evening my son was really really ill after we left and I am now putting 2 & 2 together if things like that can happen without being correctly dealt with. Thanks for bringing this to light Dev, keep up the great work 👍

Thank you so much for posting and being honest! I got a fun card to aquatica for my daughter and I 2 years ago. It came with a couple of guest passes and the first time we went was the very end of January in 2021 (we got lucky with a Rouge warm day). We had a nice time, it wasn't very crowded and they didn't appear to have many staff issues (yet). I took my daughter back twice more that year, and each time we stayed less and less. The last time we stayed maybe an hour... it was so crowded and clearly understaffed and I just wasn't comfortable being there alone with my daughter... we haven't been back and I wasn't planning to, but even more-so now... the last time we were there I left thinking "I have never felt this way at Disney or Universal"... Also, I HAVE been at Disney when something like this has happened, and the lifeguards got everyone out of the pool, they cleaned it, tested the water and they didn't let anyone back in until it was safe to do so... I believe the incident I'm remembering involved a baby and a leaking diaper, so also different, but clearly they actually handled it, and I think that is the point... of course things happen and kids can misbehave (though, as a parent-I can say there are a TON of things I would absolutely not tolerate in my daughter, certainly using the bathroom anywhere other than the bathroom is at the top of that list) but watching the parents AND staff not do ANYTHING is absolutely super disturbing! I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut them down because that has to be in violation of (I would assume) more than one health codes! Thank you again for the honesty, I do think that it's important for people to know what they are getting into if they want to go here!

I did go to Discovery Cove for the first time back in December and had a Wonderful time. Also stayed at Universal and went to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I live far away so we try to get to Disney and Universal at least once every two years. I love watching channels like this that are informative, so when we do go, we can plan accordingly and make the most of our time. Thank you for everything you do and giving us your honest opinions. The same thing happened here in Georgia at Whitewater Park. However, I didn’t witness the person in the act. There was defecation near the entrance of a water attraction. I went to Guest Service and they were unapologetic. I was infuriated by their response. They offered tickets for me to visit again and I unkindly declined. Afterwards, I was escorted out of the park. I called a few days after my visit to have the ticket offer switched to Sixflags the adventure park. This was about 15 years ago. I never returned to Whitewater and don’t ever plan to. In fact, I haven’t been to any waterpark since then because it made me realize how unsanitary they are. I’m sorry you had to experience that. I know exactly how you felt.

We were at Sea World two full days and part of a third this week. We had a fabulous time! Crowds were low and the weather was amazing. At one point on our second day, at least 6 rides were down. Also, a significant part of the park doesn’t open until an hour after the rest of the park. I spoke at length with a local mom who said she’s heard Sea World is having significant staffing issues. We did interact with some awesome employees, while others were were disinterested and didn’t seem to love their job. Of course, you can find that anywhere. My son begged to go to Aquatica, but we didn’t go, and I’ ok with that! Yours is the second video I’ve seen saying you won’t go back any time soon. Cleaned the debris out of the water and then they added more sanitizing chemical to the pool and continually tested the water until it was at a safe level to ensure people could enter again. Next to me was the exit for the Goofy meet and greet, next thing i know a dad and his son about 4 or 5 yrs old comes up to the bushes next to us not even 2 ft away and the kid just starts peeing. We are maybe 100 feet from the bathroom and not even 10 feet from goofy. I waved down the Cast Member, they looked and noticed and just turned around and went on with their day. So i spoke up enough so people could hear me " You know the bathroom is over there, use it next time!" horrific. i’ll never forget one time i was at magic kingdom, peak spring break, peak busy, shoulder to shoulder crowds, prior to the pandemic and at closing time immediately after happily ever after i witnessed a grown man carrying his 4 year old with his pants down peeing directly into the center hub grass by the front of the castle. i was so shocked and disgusted and couldn’t find a cast member so we just left. the things people will do at these theme parks i don’t understand 😟 and that inside the lazy river with no reaction from the employees :/

That is totally disgusting that first of all a parent would just let their child go to the bathroom in the lazy river and equally disgusting that the lifeguards did NOTHING about this. Did you alert management or guest services before you left?

Feel better Dev. I enjoyed this video one thing is I always respect your opinions and your experiences with places. To be honest I never heard of this park thank you and thank you for the honest views for me I noticed or maybe I missed something. Was there any Tubes in the lazy river ??? I didn’t see any?? What do you float on?? And I noticed lots of places are shut down. To me this place has potential. Thanks again Waving to ya from NYC.

Im not one to comment on videos but i feel like i need to put my input on this one. Im an annual pass holder to Aquatica and have been for 2 years now. I go there with my family at least once a week we go during the week witch is mostly empty compared to weekends so maybe thats why i could say i have never seen anything like this happen. Im sure accidents happen and even situation like this but this should not be acceptable. They should have taken action immediately and shut down the pool till its all clean. But please dont let this make you cancel your pass or stop taking your family i can truly say we have the most fun at this park and the kids have a blast. The weekday lifeguards are awesome and always so helpful. Again sorry this happened to you.

Dev. I've been to Aquatica 5 times and never had a bad experience. I love Sea World. Maybe you had a bad day. Don't give up on Sea World. It's a great park. Actually I've seen far worse things at Busch Gardens. It's all about timing that day. Anyways, Disney is top notch for me. Keep on vlogging Dev. Love all your videos

Thank you for informing us! This is disturbing and I didn't see it. Some people have no regard for others. and to let a child do something like that is apalling!! My family was talking about going back to Aquatica (It's been about 8-10 years since we went), but that's a no for us!!!

I find it odd that with the strict sanitary regulations that most water parks have to adhere to, this wasn’t dealt with right away. I can remember only one incident at Disney in all the years that I have visited (over 50 times since 1991) and it was dealt with immediately. The pool was even closed for 24 hours out of safety. To be paying close to $100 for a water park is ridiculous, in my opinion. It’s not even worth half that, which is why we never go to them…not even in Disney. There are so many themed pools in Disney, a water park is just not worth the extra cost. We do usually stay at the Disney Beach Club Villas (we’re DVC members), so we get a water park included. I know Disney has issues too, one of the reasons why we don’t go to the parks as often. I want value for my dollar and right now, I’m not seeing anyone deliver. Disney has always been more expensive, but it was justified. They were that much better at everything. Now, they’re not even as good as Sea World was in the late 1990s. The food is subpar, the accommodations are no longer stellar, the parks themselves are in a constant state of disrepair, refurbishment, or construction. It’s not worth what they charge, it’s just not. I understand that they need to make profits to survive, but they also need to hold true to Walt Disney’s original vision for the parks to be “a place for everyone”. Can’t be a place for everyone, if everyone is been priced out or turned off by the appearance.

Just saying, since they have tried to rebrand it, Reef Plunge used to be Dolphin Plunge and all they did was remove the exit pool and made it a drag strip. So, its the same ride it was 15 years ago

We went in November and unfortunately I would say that we were also disgusted. Paid $30 for parking, $20 fir a locker. I would estimate that1/2 of the slides and pools were closed with the water freezing - not heated at all. It is clear that they are under trained and under staffed. It looks like all of the closed things you see were the same for us. We visited customer services and they told us that what they offered was excellent which was astonishing. They did not give a care at all. This park is dying and they are ripping off guests

I’m sure disgustingly enough lots of people, kids and adults, pee in the lazy river, but going number #2 is awful and unsanitary. I definitely would have left as well. We live 30 minutes from adventure island and instead drive the 2 hours to Disney’s water parks. It’s the only water park I feel comfortable in. Thanks for showing us the waterpark and sharing your experience.

This is so sad , been to Aquatica so many times over the years and have always had a great experience. This is so sad to hear. Strange though as while we saw all those life jackets dumped everywhere, i turned as said to my partner.whays going on there it never used to look like that when we last went. Worrying times for SeaWorld parks .

You didn’t mention if went to management to tell them what you saw.? This is a health matter and lifeguards need to be fired. Hadn’t heard it about it being closed for “service” so it sounds like no one said anything or the park did not about it

Thank you Dev for this Vlog I thought maybe it was just me, When my family and I went to Sea World by mid-day we came across a shouting match and a fight, These two parks are most definitely short staffed and the employees that are there are under trained. I hope them well maybe with the right management they can turn around their parks.

We’ve been to Aquatica quite a few times and always enjoyed it, but I will say summer has gotten so crowded you really can’t enjoy it and the guests are not the nicest and Don’t always have good manners. So I guess it doesn’t surprise me. It’s sad though bc it’s actually a very nice park. :( They are extremely understaffed though as well, and it’s obviously showing with what you experienced

Wow that was handled horribly…thank you for your honesty! We were at Great Wolf recently and #2 happened a few times. They would immediately shut the pool, clean it up, shock the water and and keep it closed for 30-45 min. Was it a pain, yes, but so necessary!!
