I noticed every kincony board that use mux always design with pcf8573 instead mcp23017. I've discover in some video/forum you said easy to get that chip in mainland China. but I curious any difference in performance between both chips?🤔

Nice design. However, it would be very cool, if the change of hw switches (on/off) would be reflected in HA. otherwise the information presented in ESPHome/HA is not necessary representing the real state of relay channel. I understand that HW switches are acting like a “user overload” and have precedence over ESP32 control, but still I would like to see some indication in ESP/HA.

this manual control switch is TOP level, because we will conside if home assistant is broken. usually the manual control button not need to use, we will use digital input with switch panel, the state will feedback to esphome. but we must have a solution we can control every relay when system is bad, no software, no network.

@@KinCony I got it :-) I would also like to see such HW switches on “mother board” equipped with esp32. However, I saw some hw switches on your previous designs. Why not here?

no, this only for KC868-A series board. HxB series no i2c interface for extender.

HI, i have a question, it's possible tu use this board directly connected to the KinCony Server-Mini, I have both, but I didn't understand how I could configure ESPhome. On Server Mini Installed Home Assistant and I configured the GPIO without any problem, I have installed ESPHome and I have connected the expansion board to the Mini Server via I2C then I copied the yml file for the expansion board but something doesn't works. can you help me to understand ? 大佬 我用淘宝常见那种pcf8574接继电器。不接火线或者火线接com工作正常，但是no接入负载继电器闪一下就全部熄了。pcf的io电压也重置了。这是什么问题
