They designated your 1921 Morgan dollar slab with "Morgan" because there is a 1921 peace dollar as well. They designate them with "peace".

Great question!! There are only a few auction records, none in the last few years, and zero for MS63. So, there's no telling what it would sell for! Based on my experience, I'd guess $500-$700 on eBay.

Hi Treasure Hog! I noticed PCGS prints "Morgan" on the label specifically for the 1921 Philadelphia Mint coin. I have the same on my 1921 Philadelphia Morgan. I believe it's to not confuse the 1921 Philadelphia Morgan with the 1921 Philadelphia Peace dollar minted the same year. 😎

What did they charge per coin to grade them.

There are different service levels based on the insured value of the coin. The lowest level is "Economy" which has a max value per coin of $300. The next level is "Regular" which can allow for insured values up to $2,500. The Economy level is $27 per coin, and takes the longest. The Regular level is $38 per coin, which is what I used. If you submit for any variety attributions such as VAM's, DDO's, DDR's, etc then it's an extra $18 per attribution.

PCGS keeps them in the order I submit them, so they go in order in the box. I can look at my submission sheet and know which is which.

Reason why your 1921 P PCGS slab states the word Morgan because the same year the Philadelphia Mint produced 1921 dated Peace Dollars as well.

I have a few Morgan's and Peace dollars I would like to submit. I am not a member of pcgs yet. Would you be able to walk me through the process, please, as i worry about what to write when I submit things, I dont want to mess up.

I was the same way before my first submission!! PCGS does require a membership to submit. NGC and ANACS do not I believe. I just prefer PCGS so I pay to be a member. It's actually very simple if you do it online. I've never submitted with the paper forms, doing it that way is much more complex and time consuming. Do you watch RobFindsTreasure? He's got a great video on submission prep for PCGS. I'm actually about to submit another round of Morgan's and I plan on doing a "How To" video with those! Stay tuned!
