Great job and thanks again for the video updates! As an avid hiker from the SoCal area, I love seeing the conditions from the different areas. I hiked the section of trail from Mill Creek Southbound a few months ago. We made a point to punch steps through all the snow patches that everyone was going around. The go arounds were causing much degradation. We also pulled tons of branches off the trail that were being hike around. Every little bit counts, right? Happy Trails!!

Great motivation! Thank you Tki! After a long day and you're "..going to strech a ton" If you don't mind: What is your streching routine in the evening or in between miles? What on-trail streching routine would you advize for us older hikers? 😄

Ostrich Farm - I'm intrigued :)

Unfortunately, I had no time to explore the ranch so only used the grounds to camp. Ah well!

Wow, 19.4 miles. Yes, completing the desert section is an amazing accomplishment. You’re doing it! Glad you didn’t sign the register, btw. Pretty country!
@TikiBirdTracy Жыл бұрын
Those registers are such an easy way for predators to find hikers, we can't be so trusting these days, unfortunately.

Great section. You definitely have an eye for finding great campsites. Keep trekking. 😊

You are doing great. Good choice to stay at the ostrich farm for the night. Blessings and safe hiking.

Thank you! It felt safer than by that road into town. Too bad I didn't have enough time to explore the ranch though.

I really enjoy the info you share, i.e. what mile you're at, where you're stopping, resupplying etc. I'm a logistics nerd!😊 Another great video and so nice to see you on uncharted trail! Way to go! 🌻💛👏

Thank you!! I hope your summer is going great. Are you still coming back out to do any more miles this season? 💕🤗

Wow, so much in this one video. Getting onto new trailbed. Meeting Terrie. Staking out a prime campsite with a great view. Poison oak (not great, but noteworthy that it's right on the trailbed). Some beautiful vistas, especially colorful at the ostrich farm. And you are definitely picking up the miles. I hope you're enjoying NorCal now and far enough along ro be out of the worst heat foong on down there. Looking forward to you reaching Oregon soon and maybe seeing you at PCT Days.

Leona Divide is an Ultra trail race (30k, 50k, 50 miles) held there every April. I’ve done the 30k a couple times and watching your video I thought it looked familiar and then you saw the sign. 😊 Love your videos. You’re inspiring me to hike the PCT someday. Best of luck to you!!
@TikiBirdTracy Жыл бұрын
Cool! I thought it was something like that. I'm glad I can inspire you. Just get out there and find the hiking style that works for you! The PCT is waiting for you! 💕🤗

Hello! I am chiming in on Leona Divide 50. I lived in California and was an avid ultrarunner. I ran the Leona Divide 50-miler many times. It is an awesome race! Thanks for your great videos, and for the memories of seeing part of the race course again after all these years! I live in Oregon now and hope to hike the PCT in the next couple of years. You're doing great! I believe this is your year to finish!🎉😊❤

Wow, you’re hitting an amazing milestone Condor, congrats on your tenacity. Have you ever tried Famotidine 20mg for heartburn (very tiny pills w/no side effects) I take it when needed and feel great within 20-30 min. Love the landscape in this stretch and I view those little clay? creatures as artwork nothing else 😀 Keep it up you’re doing fantastic. 👏🏻🙏🏻🥰

Did you ever find out what those creepy statue thingies were? lol Nice to see Terry - I thought she was living up in WA now?
@TikiBirdTracy Жыл бұрын
I didn't. Still curious though. I really wish I accepted Terry's invite to come over to stay. Some things are worth doing less miles for and I think I missed out on a fun experience.... with a PCT legend at that.

Hi Tracy, I know this is months ago but why did you get off the trail last time? You've mentioned that several times and I'm a new follower and I don't know why you got off the trail. Were you injured? Could you tell us that on the next video?? I'm following the codgers on the PCT and they're more real time, maybe a week off of where they're at and I'm just wondering why you're so many weeks back... And now releasing the videos so we don't really know where you are right now.
@TikiBirdTracy Жыл бұрын
I was followed up the trail by a man last year who was asking the hikers where I was. It was a personal choice not to keep mentioning this in my videos, m not something I want to keep discussing. I am a solo female hiker. These videos are delayed so no one can figure out my location. The fact that you don't know where I am right now means I've done a decent job at that, lol. The Codgers have Rumble's wife editing for them at her house. Editing and uploading takes a LOT of time in towns and is a big commitment for hikers, and a strong cell signal.... many towns don't have this. The Codgers are also two men hiking together. Huge difference from a solo female. I only make these videos to have for myself as a video journal and just decided to share them with family, friends, and the general public. I'm starting to have second thoughts about that now.

Spoiler alert.... I'm in Nor Cal

Women solo hikers are very careful not to upload until they are well beyond their filmed location for safety reasons.

@TikiBirdTracy You're videos are so good. I, for one, would miss them if you stopped vlogging. I appreciate that you're doing them and don't care about the timing. 🌻💛
