So glad we had a clear day. I did most of section J a couple years ago and we couldn’t see anything! Just clouds and fog until spectacle lake. Much better this time!

Yeah, welcome to WA. With its what I call bipolar weather. One day is gorgeous and the next wet and biting cold. Even hour to hour it can change. But isn’t Leavenworth adorable? Great mountain town with gorgeous views of the mountains on a clear day. But lake chelan (pronounced Shell LAN) is beautiful. I’m sure you know by now. Sorry about the fire closures. Thanks for posting your adventures.

Shuh-lan as in ann. The lake is very interesting. Campsites right beside the water. Very deep. The BLM campground below is the most manicured I've ever seen with a 'robot' ranger to take payment.
