About the PDB Art project
Now in its 8th edition, the PDB Art Project is a global outreach initiative that brings together schools, art societies, and the Protein Data Bank in Europe (PDBe) to spark creativity and curiosity in students aged 11 to 17 years. Through this project, students dive into the fascinating world of 3D molecular structures from the PDBe, transforming their discoveries into inspiring works of art as part of their curriculum. Each student selects a protein to explore, weaving together science and creativity to produce an artwork. This guided tour of our virtual exhibition celebrates their unique creations, offering a glimpse into the imagination and talent of these young artists.
