Lemme know if you figure out how to assign tilt to star power AND get it to work-I know you can (even though the PS guitars can’t) because I keep finding people who said they could do it, but no one will tell me how they just keep saying “you have to calibrate” and I really feel that I have done this

Nice breakdown! Very much appreciated! I ended up getting the Xbox version and I like it a lot. I actually like how QUIET it is compared to my Guitar Hero guitars and especially my modded ones. I didn't think I would appreciate that as much as I do. And you're right, the placement of the select button isn't great, so I ended up mapping star power to a direction on the analogue stick in Clone Hero. Just makes it a little easier that way.

I'm getting one of these as a Christmas gift this year, hopefully it works well! When I saw this announced I wasn't really that into gh at that time, but I've been getting back into guitar hero/rock band so when I get this imma be playing the FUCK outta clone Hero, YARG, and World Tour Definitive Edition

Just got mine and loving it on rockband 4. Is it easy to set up for clone hero? I've never played it so just curious if it's easy to set up. I have the xbox version btw

I bought that guitar for clone hero. My kid has a small hand and the frets at the bottom don’t work during the game, when I press any buttons at the bottom fret section it opens a menu. Only the normal frets at the top work for gameplay. When I first installed the guitar, the bottom one worked. Now it doesn’t. Any help please?

@@tchomusic I recommend trying to map the buttons in the clone hero home screen. You press space bar!

@@andrewsrgt4879 I did. All the top ones work fine but when I push the bottom ones it keeps opening the menu. Gooosh. I will try tonight on Fortnite. Doesn’t know what happened because it was working before.

I got lucky, im left-handed, and all the buttons are placed perfectly for me. Also, the 3.5 audio plug is perfect for left handers.

Playstation version available on GameStop's website today. I wonder what's better for the PC, The PS or Xbox version

I was asleep half the day :'( From what I've heard, the PlayStation one doesn't have whammy or tilt on PC, but it's possible that it was fixed and I just haven't seen it. Both hardware wise are probably identical if I had to guess!!

@@andrewsrgt4879 I also heard the dualsense controller needs to be on at the same time if using with PS5 which can be annoying too. Does the Xbox version still need 3rd party software running in order for it to work with PC? Is it a hassle? Thanks

For PC, Xbox Riff only works natively on PC Fortnite Festival (without extra software), you still need something like RB4InstrumentMapper for it to work on CH and YARG. I've seen a lot of people have trouble with RB4mapper recently even with both the RB4 guitars and Riff. Also there's a problem that people have when setting up the Riff for RB4mapper where once you change the drivers, it won't work outside of that (won't work for FNF or even on Xbox) unless you find a way to revert the drivers. PS Riff does not natively work on PC Fortnite festival but works great on YARG and Clone Hero, tho Whammy and Tilt SP does work no matter what. There is a way to get the PS Riff working on FNF with FestivalInstrumentMapper.

I have a Mac and downloaded clone hero. Can I play most songs that would make buying rock band 4 not necessary?

@@skittlz101T Clone Hero is it's own experience where you can download any library of songs, so that's up to you. I personally play the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games alongside Clone Hero since I like the variety of engine choices since every title is something new there.

@@ThatOneGuyFromSchool if you're referring to world tour definitive edition, id imagine that the RB4instrumentmapper tool should make it compatible. If it doesn't work in game as a guitar, you might need to use a different software to have it be detected as a keyboard and then you would map the buttons accordingly.

Noob question here, how do I setup clone hero?

@@skaterunite Knew I was gonna get this question eventually hahaha. You download it from Clonehero.net, and you've got some songs preloaded onto the game already. You map the buttons at the title screen by clicking the space bar (if they aren't mapped automatically). If you want to add songs, you simply find one to download, then drag the folder into the songs folder in the clone hero directory, then "scan songs" in the Clone Hero settings for it to pick up the newly downloaded song.

Haven't played guitar hero in forever. Best I could do was 98% on Through the Fire and Flames on expert. Never could do the 2 handed tapping like the best players could. Was always stuck using 1 hand for all the solos.

i just bought this guitar.. have no problems as far as connection and latency, works great. but i just cant stand flush buttons... wish all guitars were like guitar hero models. also the strum is not very satisfying..

I got the ps version for pc (and maybe a little ps5, i dont have an xbox.) idk how they say the xbox one is the “PC version” but needs a remapper and the PS one doesnt?😂

The Xbox guitar was technically only supposed to be compatible with Festival, so there's that.

@@andrewsrgt4879 fair enough. When i heard about this guitar i instantly thought “yes i can finally play clone hero!”. Its weird they made this with mostly fortnite in mind haha
