Aka they lie to you. - the tails you get are often of lesser quality than advertised (leather wise) - the tails you get are from animals that got abused (in chinese furfarms with no animal welfare laws or control) read: hit, starved, unclean cages, traumatized, tossed around, painfully killed, unsedated transportation stress - many 'american' amazon tail shops are actually chinese. By this you might be supporting child labor and/or woman abuse or the like due their poor working conditions at times. Etsy is way better, as in : you get a good quality product from an animal that didn't scream and suffer and painfully die while also making sure the money you're putten in the compony is equally divided and putten to good use. Next to that u get a way more accurate shipping, customer service and a 100% refund policy when paid with paypal on etsy so they cannot scam you.

No one knows I'm a therian and I don't have a tail (yet) but my friend Mason keeps having people at the school pull on his tail. I was sitting on the bus and they were bragging about it and everything. But I plan on getting a tail and everything and I plan on getting some sort of nerve to tell people what I am.

Surely watch my video "Do you need a tail to be a therian" ;) However eitherway I hope that you'll have fun with the tail if u decide buying one. I don't recommand wish,amazon or aliexpress for real fur tails. They often advertise fake fur tails as real fur as well are they ALWAYS from furfarms. Means: a lot of small cages with hunderds of foxes in together crawling over eachother in pure misery. Even worse is that those sites are cheap.. and.. just known by this and much more reasons for being VERY cruel furfarms; Here I'm talking about very small cages, which are never cleaned. Sitting in own poop, having wounds of the cages pushing agains their skin, being with multiple in one cage and biting eachother, having almost no food to spare costs which results in illness and attacking and even eating eachother. We talk here over no care, but being in the cage for months. We talk here about people wrapping ropes around the fox neck, drag it out of his cage and drowning them, beating with a stick to dead, slitting their throat or even skinning them alive. Without any painkillers. Can you buy painkillers in the store for $2? How then can they sell you a fox tail for $2. A fox tail of an animal that needed food for 5+ months, that needed care for 5+ months, that needed painkillers to die painfree.. We can't even buy a bread for 3 days for 2$. Any fox tail underneath 10$ is not to be trusted. Especially not from amazon, aliexpress or wish. Another story: yesterday I received my 'test tail' from wish, and it was litterally broken by receiving it, rotting and sewn together at places a tail shouldn't be sewn. My friend bought a tail from aliexpress for 10$ from magifur/magicfur (don't buy from them! their tails are poor quality) and that tail also arrived smelling badly and being sewn and broken. If you want tail, then turn to Etsy. Etsy has tails from more cruelfree furfarms, from hunt and from roadkill. So a lot better. They're way better quality etc as well. They're more expensive. But know that you're paying for the animals life, not for a product. Oh and, Goodluck with telling others you're a therian. However know that it isn't needed to tell others how you feel. By example, if you know that you're parents will throw you out of your house. Why would you then take that risk just to tell them that you identify as an animal? U will identify as the animal, and probably somewhat behave like it, wheither you tell them about it or not. However for me, everyone knows. And I haven't had negative experiences with it. To anyone who doesn't have the hair spring things shown in the video you can also use rubber bands! I'd recommend using 2 or 3 incase a few break! and I love this video PD! I've had a tail pulled before and it broke in half (it's fixed now!) and I definitely will be using this method!

I looked over because i was curious what they were talking about, and next thing I new he had gotten up and yanked my tail. This is awesome for added security you can reinforce the inside with leather, nylon webbing , or jewelry chain . All you have to do is open up your tail gently and comb the fur away then use hot glue or e6000 to glue your material of choice down the length of tour tail. mine is done with jewelry chain and I use a heavy duty carbine clip to attach it to my clothing. - Alpha Sage

Sadly there was a little metal peice that make the lower clip part stable but it fell off when i was doing quads, was looking for answers here but couldn’t find anything sadly. It falls off often now. Might try the belt trick though. I feel like one of the reasons it broke it because i was wearing it wrong because it was my first tail. I’m trying to get another clip to bypass the issue, but i can’t seem to find anything so far.

This helps out a lot tysm Story: I was at skyzone and I was playing dodgeball, and there were 2 boys behind me, and one of them pulled on my tail, breaking it, the tail itself was fine, but the chain broke, and the part that attached to my pants broke too, thankfully I was able to fix it, but I told staff and they apologized about that and gave me a free icee since they couldn’t really do anything, and the kid got in a lot of trouble, I’m gonna try to make my tail pull-proof for public gearing, I learned my lesson on that haha

They're all explained in full detail starting 8:33 I got a blue fox tail (which is a colour mutation of the arctic fox) I got a dyed white fox tail I got a dyed black fox tail I got a blue frost fox tail I got a (normal) frost fox tail. And I got a dyed peach coloured, possible frost fox tail. And I got a silver fox tail on the way :)

i have a black wolf tail that had to large of a keychain that came with it but i also used to have a fox tail that sadly got ripped up by my friends dog, but i saved the keychain from that tail and used it for my wolf tail and just used a lot of this really strong glue that another friend of mine had that she also uses for her tails. So far it hasn't came off yet after a couple weeks of using it so i think it worked. but your method also looks creative so i might use it for future tails! also i love your depressed chicken :3

If you're looking for high quality, thick and fluffy tails then I recommand those shops on Etsy: Vfurs Oakenfoxshoppe Ecostep TheWildThingsPassion Magicfur Or to look for good quality shops on Amazon. Know that (bad quality) shops on amazon, wish and aliexpress could be a lot cheaper, but as the foxes live less long, in worse enviroment and often in cruel furfarms, their fur is a lot less quality. Shaped weirdly, fur falling out, leather rotting, oddly coloured, very small etc etc. Th tail having a purplish tip is because furfarms (especially cheap ones) tend to dye their silver fox tails (and tails in general), slight tints of purple or black are used here to make the black darker, as the black is often rather gray because they didn't care well for the foxes. So they dye it to look better. Furtail.com and Furtails.com is also known to be pretty okay quality, besides etsy. I love my tails a lot :') hha thanks!

I got my tails on a local market, local comic convention, local store, an accident on aliexpress and one on wish. However I heavily recommand etsy or some Good quality amazon shops. for etsy those shops are recommanded by the community and have good quality: Vfurs -> furfarm Oakenfoxshoppe -> Furfarm, roadkill, hunted fur -> told to be a therian themselves Ecostep -> furfarm TheWildThingsPassion -> mainly roadkill Magicfur -> furfarm ... There are probably a few others out there.

I also heavily recommand checking out local taxidermists and taxidermy groups or vulture culture groups etc on social media or websites. As well as keep an eye out on local markets and especially comic conventions (anime etc too) tend to sell tails quiet often.

I made a tail out of a scarf and a lanyard clip. I used a black one since one of my theriotypes is black. I don't wear it in public, but I do wear it when I exercise at home or dance in my home studio. It's durable and stays during that, but I'm not sure how it would hold if my tail were pulled... I do yelp when I accidentally catch my tail in the door and it pulls. It's usually when I don't notice that it surprises me and I yelp.

Hha don't worry I do the same, I hiss (cat cameo shifts) or yelp, peep or squeak when people pull (for fun) my tail or when I get stuck or even hit it against the wall or such. Both because I slightly jumpscare as that happens as because my phantom tail litterally places itself in the IRL tail I'm wearing, making me litterally experience pain through that IRL tal. Hmm I'm curious how one could make a tail out of a scarf, never heard about it before! Tho it sounds very cool :') Well I personally don't use lanyard clips, it might come loose if it gets pulled or such. Meaning you won't have damage. However if a funny bully pulls your tail, and it comes loose, then they might run off with it :'s I would be so scared for that to happen. But yeh, I do wear my tail in public a lot.

i’m gonna cry, i have a tail coming i bought off amazon. i tried to be careful, making sure that since i’m getting it off amazon it’s faux fur. now i’ve heard that they say it’s faux fur but it’s actually real, i feel horrible, and if it’s a real tail i’m going to love it and cherish it

Old vid but in case anyone sees this, if you still prefer a faux tail for any reason but want something with a semi-realistic feel or movement, yarn tails are a great alternative. They're time consuming but VERY easy to make. Zullala here on KZbin has a great tutorial. Best part is you can make them in any color(s) you can find yarn in! Just be sure to get good yarn for it. "I love this yarn" brand yarn works great.

Nice to meet you! Just always be aware that even with this pull proof system, damage can be done and a tail can still break if the leather is weak or someone pulls Really hard. Wel this isn't a fix completely, but it sure lowers the damage and makes the tail survive longer! So they can still break, but usually only after a few pulls and not just one

people need to respect the animal that died tor those tails and not destroy or pull them. Its okay if you accidentally break them (thats what i did, but i sewed it back together) as long as you have respected the tail in the past.

My second tail was bought on a local christmas market, my third was from a local comic convention, my fourth a present of a friend from wish (not recommended), my fifth again from a local comic convention, my sixth was from a local assecoira shop (selling bags etc) and my last (not in this video) was a test buy from wish so I was able to compare quality between horrible chinese furfarming and decent america/europe furfarming as well as to test which tail was best for a tail giveaway.

I have a question about other types of pants without belt loops? Is there a way to have a pull proof tail on pants without belt loops?

Perhaps your pants have a tag on the back? Inside the pants? Tags are often loop shaped, meaning you can attach the tail over therr. Or otherwise your best option is to tie a rope / shoelace / belt around your waist and attach the tail to that. You Can also use a paperclip or safety pin to attach the tail to your pants but if someone pulls, the sharp edges of the pins might damage your pants.

My tail is a custom one I made myself and uses a keyring I've had for 5 years I can try putting one of those on it. I might get a different tail that I'll wear more often as I almost ruined my custom tail when I accidentally spilled soda on it. I had to hand wash it myself for a few hours when I got home. I thought it wasn't going to be cleaned up but it actually got really really clean. I want to get a pawstar tail and keep my one I made since it's a bit smaller just so I can have a slightly smaller one if needed. I also want to get a custom My Little Pony tail along with ears to wear but those tails can get tangled easily since it's a large amount of plastic doll hair. I'll have to get a plush My Little Pony tail so it wouldn't get tangled over time... I'll definitely use this trick with my current tail.
