Hey man, thanks so much for this! Have all the notes down but struggling to get the triplet ‘burst of notes’ and the burst of notes in the second last phrase at the speed needed. Sounding a bit muddy for me. Any advice on a technique to practice that would improve my speed accuracy for these parts? Again thanks a million!!
@PDXguitarfreak3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, and whenever I learn a new solo, I always practice it at slow speed (along to the original track slowed down), until I can play it cleanly... then I increase the speed a little, and once I can play at that speed cleanly, I increase the speed again... and then repeat, until I get up to the full speed. :)
@burnzoh65653 жыл бұрын

@PDXguitarfreak5 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks Yoni! It's a 2012 Les Paul Premium Plus, but I can see where you would think Slash... it looks A LOT like one of his. I recently added the zebra pickups which he does a lot too :)
@AchillesWrath15 жыл бұрын
I have an Epiphone Slash Custom. I had it sent to a luthier and replaced all the wiring, pots, caps, tuners, knobs, bridge, pretty much everything except the pickups which are Seymour Duncan Alnico II's from the factory. Set the action low and it plays like butter now. I think i paid $600 for the guitar used which i thought was a good deal considering that specific model was $1400 when new in '07 and then i put another $600 in upgrades. I would say it rivals the best Gibson's. The only thing different is the headstock which doesn't bother me at all. Mine is the tobacco burst.

Hi one question you uses distorsion or over drive? THANKS
@PDXguitarfreak5 жыл бұрын
Hi I am a using Line 6 Helix processor for the tones in this video, and therefore amp and effects are simulated. However, when I use a real amp and pedals, I prefer to use the natural overdrive that comes from the amp. If I need more gain, I prefer overdrive pedal instead of distortion pedal.

Great tab but he left out a few notes hes played from the tab the part where he said he had a hard time tabing , he doing a double hammer on pinch at the start 8 10 pinch 8 10 some of the notations hh ph hp are not correct to what he is performance he point this out ! All & all nice job keep it up ! The triple are correct not 4th#, with delay and course give the 4th note this makes the notes fatter but when slowed down it sounds like more notes , i old recording trick is to pan left befor beat then on the pan right off to fatten the notes

Out of curiosity, do you get copyright claims on your videos? I got them on most I’ve ever post. I can never understand it. You are promoting a song and love of the music. 🤷♂️ Teaching should definitely be free use.
@PDXguitarfreak5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it happens almost every time, unfortunately. Therefore, I don't monetize my videos. I'm wondering if I should fight it LOL.
@ponsau5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it might be possible. Some labels and bands are awesome about it, and don’t copyright claim them. It’s basically free advertising. I hadn’t listened to Holy Diver in a while, and after I watched your video, I listened to the original several times! Rick Beato has done a few videos about the copyright claims and blockers.
