Armor view would make this game damn near perfect in my opinion... other than adding clans and a training room for clan battles... just my two bits. Me and my brother have been playing around with close quarter combat in German BBs... I really wish they'd fix the secondaries to make them a bit more effective thus making German BBs scary at close quarters. Yet another great video Tbull thanks!

I have Hyde on this boat and I'm running brawler with gyrating drillbits with the same last 2 perks like your Ciliax but with running with scissors with Sims and Kedrov as inspiration and the turret traverse is quite fast and i have luckily crucified cruisers to the point that i scored an unexpected devastating strike in which i just felt in love with this boat and as for the ship perks i use ASM1 with PM1 and that's pretty much it. BTW my Hyde is R16L2 and so are my 2 inspirations.

At the 9:39, you ping C cap for the Aoba on your team. It took him until 13:44 to start doing it, despite being about 1km away. I guess he took a bathroom break.

If you go back to the 7min mark and look at the bad dispersion shot notice the island icon when you fired. This is a common bug/problem. When parked on an island the lockon/Auto aim works AGAINST you. Firing most of the shells over the top of ships. Keep this in mind FFR

Love the vidja, I just have a hard time liking the German Battleships due to there Dispersion. Which is frustrating since they have some iconic ships from WWII.

Same, I sold my Bismarck just because the guns don’t work and the armour isn’t even so great either. What’s the point of it then? And I also don’t understand why German battleships have such bad accuracy when they had some of the best accuracy on their ships in the real world.

@@ImTooota armor works just fine. Learn to angle, better. IRL, the ship was built to withstand 16"shells within an 'immunity zone' that would allow the ship to get close. Historically, it was designed to fight, close. Think about it... The English weren't THAT far away... Not to mention it was explicitly designed against the Richelieu class... Anywho... Ship works fine. It's your tactics that need adjusting.

I know they are not in the game however the armour can be viewed on the WOWS legends insta. They give a picture of the armour of ships everytime one is released it started with the dunkerque @tbull

I just checked it out and it's essentially worthless (it was the pictures I'd seen before), on PC specific armour values are given for specific parts of the ship, which is what's needed. In the armour view pics on Instagram/Facebook/discord ect they just give a max and a min armour amount with no specific numbers given for the difference colours they use (hardly more useful then the in-game info we have now) That's potential one issue if they eventually do a WOT type armour viewer (assuming they haven't changed it since I was last on) In WOT they give rough armour values based on colour, for example front turret my be orange which could be 250 to 299, thing is with WOWL we really need to know what (for example) specifically the bow armour is, ie; 25mm...... If WG use a system that says...... orange colour equal 25mm to 30 then that's just too broad. There's already a system in PC that works great, giving specific values, surely WG are capable of adapting for console.

Wether he is aware or not, which he well be, doesn't make any difference, the "armour view" you mention is still worthless (which was the point of my reply) That's why I worry how WG will handle the armour viewer when they finally add it into the game, for them to think the "armour viewer" they add to those pics is actually any good doesn't bode well Edit: not having a go btw

Hey TBull, love the videos!!!! I’ve been bouncing around the idea of buying a couple more premium ships, but am having some trouble with deciding which one to get. I own the Hood and Indianapolis, but the Indy dies just too quickly. I’m trying to decide between the Graf Spee, Nelson, Dunkerque, or Scharnhorst, and I want to find the best ships for farming credits. Thanks!

I have the graff spee the hood and nelson plus the free premiums u get but damn im in love with the graf spee fast as a cruiser punches like a bb i like to play aggresivly and shes perfect for me the nelson is awsum a bit more technical to play with just keep it slowly moving forward pushing bbs back and destroying cruisers

@@TbullGaming Hyde 16+2. Im using the special Alidad skill. Im not sure what its doing on this ship as i havent tried it without it but i saw some great results using it with Tirpitz. Im actually really interested in boosting the Nooks and Crannies inspiration one of the Russian commanders has to see what it does along side Alidad

After several matches i can conclude that the PEF is fun to play when you play it like the Hood. Take benefit of the speed and act like a battlecruiser. You can easily punish the BHP (broadside HE potatoes) and sail along.

@@lordredlead2336 Thing is, the term 'battlecruiser' really doesn't mean anything past 1916. The German take on the battlecruiser was essentially a fast ship with battleship grade guns and armor with more speed (they usually game up numbers of guns and were larger than equivalent BBs). The initial British take was an armored cruiser with battleship caliber guns capable of dominating other cruisers. This worked until the Germans upset the paradigm with Von Der Tann, then doubled down with the Moltkes. The British then started to armor BCs to stand up to their expected opponents and ultimately developed it into what was a fast battleship, the Hood (essentially a fast Queen Elizabeth). Ironically the Admiral-class was largely a response to the Germans laying down the Mackensen-class, of which Prinz Freddy here was a member.

@@davefinfrock3324 yep even though the ships were never completed they still serve in history because somehow the British intelligence f**** up on the report of the mackeson class sinking news going to have bigger guns and more armor than it would have had so it's still plays a part in history even though it but a fun fact about P.E Freddy is that some parts of the ship was used to build the famous Paris gun so I guess she was choosing instead of mackeson herself because she was used on a famous gun

@@davefinfrock3324 I wonder if they're going to do a battle cruiser line which I don't know I don't think a lot of battleship lines in the game already incorporate battle cruisers like for Japan is a Congo and amagi for example and for British weary have Hood as a premium only class were missing that most people know about is a renown class which I think repulse was part of it and the American Lexington class which I doubt we'll get if and when aircraft carriers come it will be weird because you know the aircraft carrier Lexington

@@vacumviovana8801 because they are either new or they are a potato. A new player listens and takes advice. A potato "knows everything". I see BBs firing HE all the time, not just New Mexicos. BUT out of all the BBs in the game, USN BBs have arguably the best AP and therefore should be the least likely to use HE, and yet that's not the case at all. I can't imagine the game is much fun shooting only HE as a BB.. Never getting citadels. Never getting devastating strikes.

Just watch a Spartan video With von hipper as the commander and the dispersion was actually good so I think that von hipper is a better choice for commander of that particular ship With dispersion being as badd as that shot on the aoba .imo

Great looking ship...German battlecruisers were better armored with smaller guns than their British counterparts...being a smaller navy, they expected them to fight alongside the dreadnoughts in line of battle, if necessary...

They all expected them to fight in the battle line. The battlecruiser was an evolution of the armored cruiser and they were a staple in the line of battle of the major powers since the turn of the 19th century. However, the class evolved even as they were being designed and constructed. The British initially just wanted firepower superiority over the older armored cruisers. The Germans countered with more armor to offset British guns. It snowballed from there ultimately resulting in the Admiral and G3 classes--and then the WNT brought it all to a screeching halt.

It's funny cause I watch this video and see shots spraying all over and hitting the water at 6km or less, and yet, you end up with a ton of damage. Helped of course by the Sinop but still it adds up over the length of the game. The secondary fires must have put in some work too

Well, PE Fredrich was a Mackensen class Battlecruiser while Bayern is a full blown dreadnoght era battleship. I treat mine like a Normandie and it works out well enough. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tried playing mine in ranked,got 130k and 550k silver and only two kills by sitting in by an island in cap whilst 5 of the enemy team bouced shots off my angled front and i did the dad dance shuffle to dodge the torps....using lvl 12 hind on mine with cunningham and jojo forvthe extra pen on the small caliber guns

@@Electronaut76 sorry buddy but Nassau got much better secondaries, both AP/HE shells ,with minimum range of 5 km, Arkansas have only HE shells, with minimum range of 4,5 km. that means it cant be as good as Nassau's secondaries wich can reach almost 8 km. That being said, if you are talking about the ship value compared to Nassau, Arkansas got much more powerful main guns.
